EDF Residential & EV Reviews

While some members who chose EDF to be their energy supplier have reported issues with their cashback, many members have left positive EDF Energy reviews, with some saying theirs was paid out faster than expected. Comments include “good cashback rate for switch over — two to three months to pay out” and “brilliant. Saved on dual fuel and cashback showed within five hours”.

Our members seem to love the company too. One said: “EDF have been very efficient and helpful in setting up my account and dealing with any queries or problems I have had.” Others praised the fact their site is easy to use and the switching process not confusing at all. EDF Energy review feedback includes “a very good service and an easy changeover” and “smooth transition from my previous supplier — kept me informed at every stage”.

It has been more than three months since I started the switch over and more than two months since my power was transfered to EDF. Cashback payment still not made. While they were very quick to transfer my energy, they are obviously not quick in paying out on their inducements.

Very slow for cashback to be payable. Cashback went through in July but payment has still not been received!

Caution! I had to chase up my Cashback claim for EDF as it didn't even show on the system for a long time. It is now showing as confirmed (finally - after waiting over 2 months), fingers crossed that it tracks and pays.

still waiting for cashback from 14/08.. first it should have been payable on 30/09, then i message to wait a until 30/10... its now 2/11 still no cashback ..very poor cashback service

Did not track so had to raise a manual claim. Took about 2 months to show as pending, but that it roughly how long it took for gas & electric to swapover so could be linked. Still waiting for it to show as payable.

Yet another person who was given an estimated cashback date of 30/9/09. Tracked on 3/8/09 and have still not yet been paid.

Failed to track initailly but did so once claim submitted. Confirmed 1 day after showed as pending! Similar to others, this could be due to delay between signing up and actual switch to new supplier. This has gone smoothly and 1st direct debit hasn't even been taken yet

Applied on the 10-08-09 & it tracked within a few hours at £60, payable 31-09-09 according to TCB. No sign of any payment yet though...

cashback reported 18/8 due to be paid 30/9 but TBC warned it was estimated date it could payable be a month later..... now past 30/10 and still waiting.......

Still have not recieved cashback although it has now been confirmed. Have had to enquire about this cashback instead of getting automatically, but now appears to have sorted itself out.

cashback tracked, but EDF haven't impressed me. Terribly slow to transfer my energy. Gave me transfer date; told me gas had started; so I cancelled my existing supply direct debit - only to discover they hadn't transferred. me. Took 7 days to respond to an email. After several complaints - still waiting to get my gas (nearly 9 weeks)- but they have offered me £20 goodwill for the problems (and the extra money I have to pay on a temporary higher tariff with existing supplier)

despite signing in and testing tracking this dualfuel switch did not track missing claim took 3 weeks but at last it has appeared, time will tell when i will get payment.
