Offering a range of cheap broadband packages featuring great inclusive features, you are sure to find the right option to allow you to enjoy a superb online experience.

Make the most of the download speeds offered by a BT Fibre package to stream movies, your favourite TV shows and music, or go for an ultrafast option. You can then add their TV Entertainment package and BT Sport. The latter will also allow you to stream from any device on the BT Sport app.

You’ll benefit from having a BT home hub which is more powerful than those offered by other broadband providers, meaning you can get more from your broadband connection. They’ll help you find the best package for you, though all of their plans offer truly unlimited usage and your own Stay Fast Guarantee. This means you can stream, browse and download all you want.

Their broadband also includes powerful security features to keep you and your family safe online, plus amazing extras, such as free, unlimited access to five million BT Wi-Fi hotspots and BT Cloud storage. Check to see if there are any BT Broadband deals which could save you money or include one of their BT reward cards.

It's easy to compare packages and switch from your current provider, be it Virgin Media, John Lewis or if you have Sky Broadband, TalkTalk Broadband or EE Broadband. The Right Package for You

Whatever your needs, BT can provide the right fibre broadband package for you. Their Fibre Essential package is ideal for everyday browsing, online shopping and streaming if you only use one or two devices at once. It will give you an average broadband speed of between 29 and 36Mb.

However, if you need to be able to browse, stream and download on a few devices at once, their Fibre 1 package offers an average download speed of 50Mb. If you need to stream and download in HD on lots of devices at once, the BT superfast Fibre 2 package is for you, offering an average speed of 67Mb, which is great if you love gaming.

Whichever package you choose, you can also add Complete Wi-Fi to experience a strong signal in every room — or get money back. If you traditionally struggle to connect to Wi-Fi in certain rooms, you can make that a thing of the past as they’ll send you a clever BT Wi-Fi Disc to work with your powerful BT Smart Hub.

It will talk to your hub to create a powerful network in your home, allowing you to browse, stream and video call wherever in the home you are. They also offer broadband extras, such as virus protection. Compare broadband deals to see the respective monthly costs — as well as any upfront cost — and earn cashback with us when you become a BT customer.

Ultrafast fibre broadband from the UK’s largest broadband network

BT Broadband Logo

BT are one of the UK’s leading innovators when it comes to home broadband. Their UltraFast full fibre broadband is providing more and more properties, including those in more remote parts of the country, with fast and reliable internet access. If you’ve ever struggled to get a dependable internet connection as a result of where you live, you’ll know the importance of being with a provider that’s going to give you full, consistent coverage. With 5.5 million homes in the UK now covered by their UltraFast Full Fibre network, BT offer a solution to this problem.

There are a range of great BT broadband offers available, including their Fibre 900 deal, which gives customers average speeds of an impressive 900Mbps. If you don’t need quite such quick speeds though, they also have packages with average speeds ranging from 50 to 500Mbps, so you’re sure to find the right BT broadband deal to suit you.

As well as being the fastest type of broadband there is, full fibre is also the least damaging to the environment. This is because it doesn’t rely on satellite dishes or use copper in its cables (this is important because copper mining produces harmful sulphur dioxide which pollutes our air).

In addition to this, with more and more homes having access to this full fibre network, many more people are now able to work from home, which reduces the amount of pollution caused by commuting, as well as opening up employment opportunities to those who require flexible working arrangements.

You can also add a TV package to your BT deal, with options including Netflix, AMC and NOW Entertainment and Sports memberships. So, if you want a broadband package you can rely on for great download speeds with the option to add the most popular entertainment too, as well as also limiting your impact on the environment, you should take a look at what BT offers are currently available.

BT Broadband — New Customers Features

Broadband and TV Packages

There are not just fibre optic broadband only deals.

If you want to add a TV bundle to your fibre broadband package, BT TV gives you Sky TV channels from NOW TV. Their Entertainment TV package includes Sky Atlantic, Sky One, Discovery, Comedy Central and 11 more channels from NOW TV, plus all your Freeview channels and AMC. As well as all of this, there will be 300 on-demand box sets from NOW TV to enjoy.

Upgrade to the Big Entertainment package, meanwhile, and, as well as all the above, you’ll be able to watch all the Sky Cinema channels, plus get more than 1,000 movies on demand from NOW TV. This is the perfect package if you’re a movie fanatic. If you’re sports mad, their Sport package will provide you with all four BT Sport channels, plus BoxNation if you love to watch the big fights.

It means you’ll be able to catch live Premier League matches and every single UEFA Champions League game, exclusive to BT Sport. As an added bonus, only BT TV lets you change your channel packs on a monthly basis. As well as award-winning shows, hundreds of box sets, the best live sports in stunning 4K and blockbuster movies, your TV box will let you record up to 300 hours of your favourite shows.

Pause and rewind live TV, and access your favourite shows using the stylish TV guide. As well as NOW TV, you can also access Netflix and the best of Amazon Prime Video with their TV packages. Keep a lookout for home broadband & TV deals, and make sure you take advantage of a TopCashback BT offer.

Calls Packages

While BT Broadband packages include line rental and a pay as you go calling plan, you can upgrade if you make a lot of calls on your home phone.

If you’re unsure of how many minutes you need, don’t worry as you can change your broadband and phone plan up or down if you need to as a BT Broadband customer. With pay as you go, calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles will cost you 20p per minute, any time of the day.

If you regularly make a few weekend calls, you can get 500 minutes a month, which you can use to make calls to any UK landline or UK mobile day or night. If that’s not enough, there is an unlimited calls package for UK landlines and UK mobiles.

If you regularly call abroad, their Friends & Family International plan offers cheap rates to more than 200 destinations worldwide. The International Freedom package, meanwhile, offers inclusive calls to their most popular international destinations — plus low calling costs to the rest of the world.

No matter which package you choose, you will get free Caller Display, which will enable you to see who’s calling. Also included is BT Call Protect. Easy to set up and manage online or from your home phone, it will help stop unwanted and nuisance calls.

If you have a mobile, you can also add one of their SIM deals. All offering unlimited minutes and texts, you can browse SIM only deals with data options ranging from 1GB to 100GB per month.

BT Broadband — New Customers FAQs

Is BT Broadband Any Good?

BT’s Smart Hub is packed with impressive technology which can give you faster Wi-Fi connections in more rooms. If you live in an enabled area, you can opt for BT Infinity fibre broadband, which will allow the entire household to be online at once. It is great for streaming, gaming and watching catch-up TV as it delivers smooth high definition video. You can also opt for standard BT Broadband and choose unlimited usage with either.

How Much Does It Cost?

BT offer three unlimited broadband packages, all of which include BT line rental and are available on 12-month contracts. Unlimited Broadband costs £26.99 a month (including a 30% welcome discount) and offers speeds up to 17Mb, while Unlimited Infinity 1 is £31.99 a month (including 30% welcome discount) and offers speeds up to 52Mb. Unlimited Infinity 2 offers speeds up to 76Mb and £49.99 a month (£53.99 after 12 months).

How Long Does BT Broadband Take To Activate?

When buying broadband, BT will agree a date for your service to be activated and will send you an email or letter confirming this. They will keep you informed of progress and contact you immediately if there are any issues. If they need to send you equipment, this will arrive by Royal Mail the day before your activation date. You will also be sent instructions on how and when to connect your BT Home Hub.

How Does BT Broadband Work?

Broadband typically comes into your home via a telephone line. There are two cables for this - copper and fibre optic. Copper delivers ADSL and ADSL2+ broadband from the telephone exchange to your house, and longer copper means weaker signal and slower broadband. Fibre optic cables run from the telephone exchange to a street cabinet, from where copper cables connect to your house. Your broadband will be faster the closer you are to the cabinet.

How do I Switch to BT?

It is easy to switch to BT Broadband. Simply choose one of their Standard or Infinity packages online and they will manage everything for you. They will aim to switch you over to BT within two weeks, or you can choose a later date if you wish, and it will only take about 30 minutes. Your Home Hub will be delivered to you and you can connect it yourself quickly and easily.
