EDF Residential & EV Reviews

While some members who chose EDF to be their energy supplier have reported issues with their cashback, many members have left positive EDF Energy reviews, with some saying theirs was paid out faster than expected. Comments include “good cashback rate for switch over — two to three months to pay out” and “brilliant. Saved on dual fuel and cashback showed within five hours”.

Our members seem to love the company too. One said: “EDF have been very efficient and helpful in setting up my account and dealing with any queries or problems I have had.” Others praised the fact their site is easy to use and the switching process not confusing at all. EDF Energy review feedback includes “a very good service and an easy changeover” and “smooth transition from my previous supplier — kept me informed at every stage”.

I seem to have fallen for the same thing as others, cashback was tracked ok and all correct at £83.20, then when it went live with edf it then showed £0.00, as far as i,m aware the cashback was from tcb and not edf, this online deal gave £100 cashback after 90 days from edf, so why are we told they are waiting on the merchant when its not there cashback? put in an enquiry but not satisfied with reply.

I have been waiting since June 2010 for this to track and after me filling in several enquiry forms and nudges it has finally been confirmed at zero. This EDF/topcashback deal seems to be a fiddle, as if you look at how many people are complaining, EDF or topcashback are telling porkies. Avoid EDF at all costs

EDF cannot be trusted. They wait for your fuel supply to go live then change the £80.80 to £0.00. What a con! Am very dissappointed in topcashback for allowing this con to happen. EDF customer service is also the worst I have ever come across from a utility company. Wish I had never even considered EDF. Be warned they are con merchants!

this company is a nightmare to deal with. the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. have just been told my start dates have been put forward again (the third change) and my direct debits are going back to the original amounts. i now have to wait till mid january while paying my present supplier high standard prices. am wondering if they want my business. if it doesnt go through will be putting a complaint in and getting the ombudsman involved. think twice before dealing with

Sounded too good to be true and it seems it was. It has taken approximately four weeks to get my introductory £80.80 and still waiting. No mention has been made of the £100 from EDF Energy either. Think it's mainly EDF Energy where they "dangle the carrot" and I unfortunately fell for it. Not a happy bunny at all.

been on the phone again to edf as they have changed my transfer dates and direct debit amounts to which iam not happy with. they are blaming a new computer system with a few glitches, however they say will credit my account with £5 for the extra time i will be with my old supplier, paying the higher price with for the extended time. so anybody in the same position its worth the try phoning them up for credit. looking forward to seeing my £80.80 in my tcb account.

update; have recieved contract through post after a call to edf. has still not tracked so i put a manual claim into tcb who will send off to edf in a (batch) within a few weeks. so it looks like ther are plenty of people not getting their applications tracked. i have used tcb for a few years now and know how to delete cookies etc. seems like if it is a large amount it is harder to get it to track????. will keep fingers crossed, merry xmas.

Dear TCB My cashback was correctly showing as due £80 in pending for first few weeks then suddenly has changed to £0.00 payable just after I've gone live with them. I met all the terms for the cashback as a duel-fuel switch. What's the problem. Should I submit a missing claim. Regards, John >... ps. I note there are other similar comments in the member feedbacks, like this one... ""Cashback tracked within a few hours and stayed at pending until my supplies went live with edf then it changed to payable at £0.00 And now it is too late to cancel my contract. Have read some of the comments above and it appears that edf have done this to alot of people. Tcb this appears to be a scam and you should look into this. I have submitted my contract number on a manual claim, but if this is not forthcoming then I will contact the energy watchdog and perhaps everyone else should. becksport - 08/12/2010 20:06:00""

£80 cashback + £100 bonus + price freeze guarantee. Tracked on the next day, now waiting for the switch to complete. That's a deal.

Also just noticed the offer has been withdrawn - AFTER I signed up for dual fuel and my cooling off period has now expired. I've posted an enquiry to get to the bottom of this.........NOT HAPPY as the only reason it was a more competitive option was due to the cash-back offsetting the cost of competitors of EDF. This is hardly a COST SAVING exercise...........

HAVING MY RESERVATIONS ABOUT EDF ENERGY. APPLIED FOR DUEL FUEL ON 28-11-2010. NEVER TRACKED WITH TOP CASHBACK. I DID RECEIVE EDF EMAIL TO CONFIRM SWITCH, HOWEVER HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY LETTERS WITH CONTRACT. HAVE EMAILED THEM TWICE , WITH NO RESPONSE BACK AS YET. IS THIS A PLOY TO NOT PAY THE CASHBACK. AM STUCK IN LIMBO AT MOMENT. WILL ADVISE AT LATER DATE OF OUTCOME.

Dont trust edf. Tracked correctly for a month then reverted to £0.00 I have switched to them correctly. So why take away the cashback? Sugeest you find a more trustworthy energy supplier.

Am a little confused. Signed up for this but now not sure whether £100 is only received if you signed up BEFORE 30th November?? Also does your electricity supply have to go live by then as well?

Had a really quick e-mail from EDF to confirm the switch. I am saving around £200 a year with them, moving from npower, who, by the way, are disgraceful. Hope the service with edf is better. Cashback tracked really quickly for £80.80 and get £100 bonus from EDF anyway! Excellent deal! =D
