Note you will have to buy a very expensive rail ticket to get enough cashback to cover the booking fee charged. Other vendors (mostly the train companies direct like virgin charge no booking fee). Also note you dont need to actually travel on say a virgin train to book on the virgin ticket site!!! It for instance uses the trainline.com but with out booking fee, all very odd! You effectively get 90p cashback on every booking!

Only 1.5% Misleading site cost me £11 to get my money back.Ignored my letter.Charge £1 booking fee where thro` rail sites dont charge.WILL NOT USE AGAIN!

had problems with trainline as I didnt make journey due to snow etc but took a long time to get a refund , lots of emails and phone calls before refund given even though each email etc promised refund in a few days ,however couldnt fault them on cashback .

I travel by train a great deal through work, and I have found that this site is usually the cheapest. Never had a problem with it and must have used it dozens of times.

Trainline promises discounts, but I find it simply doesn't deliver. Plus it charges fees for tickets which means it's more expensive than booking with train company itself.

A brilliant website. so easy to use. I book my train tickets online and was even able to reserve seats and then collected them 2 hours later from the self service machine at Manchester Airport train station.
No messing about with large queues. Took 2 minutes

All seems ok. Tracking was fine, within a week.. ie from when i bought to the next time i logged on, it was there, as pending.
This is the second time i've bought rail tickets. I got the Cashback the first time, can't see any reason for not getting the cash on this transaction in a month or so, making it about a couple of months, or 2.5months to payment.
So, fine with me, all seems in order.

By the time you've factored in the booking fee and credit card fee, it's not worth using the Trainline. You might as well use one of the main train operators who don't charge these fees - you won't get any cash back but it'll actually work out cheaper!
