Trainline promises discounts, but I find it simply doesn't deliver. Plus it charges fees for tickets which means it's more expensive than booking with train company itself.

A brilliant website. so easy to use. I book my train tickets online and was even able to reserve seats and then collected them 2 hours later from the self service machine at Manchester Airport train station.
No messing about with large queues. Took 2 minutes

All seems ok. Tracking was fine, within a week.. ie from when i bought to the next time i logged on, it was there, as pending.
This is the second time i've bought rail tickets. I got the Cashback the first time, can't see any reason for not getting the cash on this transaction in a month or so, making it about a couple of months, or 2.5months to payment.
So, fine with me, all seems in order.

By the time you've factored in the booking fee and credit card fee, it's not worth using the Trainline. You might as well use one of the main train operators who don't charge these fees - you won't get any cash back but it'll actually work out cheaper!

Just on a month since this purchase and still not confirmed. Although the tickets were received very quickly, the cashback is so minimal I'm not sure if it is worth the effort of chasing it!

is only a small amount but trainline changed the payable cashback to zero.
i dont really give a damn of just 45p but it is the matter of principle rather than the cash which matters! better off to give the business to other site than a a site which got no ethics!
