Once you’ve had a good look through the various experiences at Buyagift and selected your item — be it a hotel break, spa and beauty treatment or one of their wine tasting experiences — all you need to do is click Buy Now, add your personalised message and go to checkout to buy a gift.

Once you’ve entered your delivery and billing details, then paid and confirmed your order, on Buyagift.co.uk, you should make a note of your order number. They’ll send your gift voucher code pack by your chosen delivery method the same working day if you placed your order before 3pm.

The pack will include your Buyagift code, which is personalised and individually produced, plus details of how the recipient can book a date for the chosen experience. An information sheet will provide details of the experience, including a description, an agenda and any other relevant details, including what to wear (if applicable).

The pack will also include a picture relating to the activity and a special presentation envelope, which will be open, ready for you to use if you require. Most of the vouchers offer 10-month validity from the date of issue. • Exchanges

  Should either you or the recipient decide the experience is not quite right, the voucher can be exchanged for any one of thousands of other experiences.

  To exchange a car driving experience or women’s fashion experience for a spa day or afternoon tea, for example, you would just need to log in with your voucher number and pin code. Click Exchange My Voucher and you’ll see the experiences you can choose instead, as well as details of any difference in price between the two vouchers.

  Should you see Add, it means your new choice is more expensive and you will have to pay the amount shown. If you see Bank, however, it means it is less than the original voucher and, as a result, you’ll receive a credit voucher for the value shown, which you can put towards another gift experience.

  Some items cannot be exchanged, including Print and Go vouchers like theme park tickets, personalised gifts and tangible items which include hampers, wine, chocolates or flowers. Should you exchange, you should be aware that your new gift voucher will have the same voucher validity date as the old one. If you wish, you can extend the expiry, though you will be charged a fee for doing this.

• Delivery

  When it comes to gift experience voucher delivery, those ordered before 3pm will be sent out the same day for delivery by Royal Mail second class post. Orders placed after 3pm will be processed and dispatched the next working day, while orders placed after 3pm on Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday, will be processed and dispatched on the next working day.

  If you’ve left it a little late to buy your gift, you can opt for their guaranteed next day delivery service, which costs £7.50 and requires a signature upon receipt. With this service, orders placed before 3pm Monday-Friday will be delivered before 5.30pm the next working day. Should you place an order between 3pm on Friday and 3pm on Sunday, it will be delivered by 5.30pm on Tuesday.
