Had to make a claim for the cashback. Found out it is cheaper to book a train journey through East Midlands Trains website as they don't charge a booking fee.

Be careful, a booking fee is added to the transaction making the tickets more expensive than National Rail site. So cheaper tickets may not be worth it.
