TRAINLINE SCAM?
I used this merchant in August 2023 and put in a missing cashback claim. It was April 2024 before the amount was allocated to my account.
TCB asked me to close this claim once the amount became payable.
It made it to the confirmed stage but almost 14 months on it has never progressed to payable, but the claim has been closed?! It would be a nice Christmas present if I ever get it!!!

Never Tracks Despite Using Various Devices
All purchases from this retailer has never tracked and had to submit manual claims which have been mostly not accepted.
Seems like others are having the same issue.
Will stop using this retailer if this continues.

Recent transactions not tracking
This has happened on 2 occasions now and as a good will gesture they paid the lower cost one big not the £258 worth of ticket one. Clearly common reading review and I wish TCB would remove them as it’s damaging their reputation. Trainline claim no trace of booking despite all visible references being provided. I even offered to forward on the email confirmation of booking however TCB don’t seem to be able to facilitate this or care enough to hold them to account. TCB as a whole is not what it used to be.

Disappointing
Every week I buy a ticket, it tracks but then declines. I then manually submit a request which is successful. However, I have cashback that has been confirmed in 2023 that is still not payable now!!! Very disappointing, especially for a big retailer like trainline

Can't find their own order, duh!
Failed to track; manual request eventually declined with Trainline stating "transaction can not be traced" despite being provided with their own order number!! Based on recent reviews, this seems to be their go-to scam nowadays. Using Virgin Train Ticketing app now, bye-bye Trainline.

Impossible to earn cashback anymore
Made three valid purchases but every time, the cashback fails to track & I have to faff about with a claim that takes forever to be resolved. Looking at all the other reviews here, I'm not alone in this so it seems like Topcashback need to pull their finger out and actually fix this issue instead of continually ignoring it.

Didn't track railcard
Topcashback are usually good at tracking and initially Trainline tracked but at the incorrect amount for railcards. So I put in a claim and they rejected it completely despite it tracking. Terrible!

Don't bother to have cashback
I but train tickets quite frequently and haven't had a problem with Trainline in the past. I don't know what has changed, but I but ticket then had to claim missing cashback each single time and never get anything which is very frustrating. So don't bother to use Trainline on TopCashback website...Total time wasting.

Trainline doesn’t track and then they cannot find the order number when you manually request it. Even though the order number is clearly in my account on their website.
Complete scam. Should be banned from TopCashback.

Ok for buying train tickets
Most of my train ticket purchases have tracked and I’ve received cash back. I wouldn’t use this to purchase a railcard again, cash back didn’t track, and when I raised a ticket the retailer asked for a different customer reference - which doesn’t exist, so I received nothing.

Just don't bother - buy directly from rail company sites
They don't even trust their own email confirmation and Purchase ID - saying they can't locate the transaction.
It's not worth going via trainline.com as they also charge a fee, whereas other rail companies are free (GWR, LNER, Natinal Rail, etc.).
Avoid at all cost.

The app and website are great and I have never had any problems using either.
Every time I've ever tried for cashback though, it gets refused without exception. No idea why.

Still waiting 3 months + after travelling!
Travelled 24th Feb, didn't track so had to raise missing payment. This was submitted to Trainline on 6th March, it's now 7th June and still no cashback. This is Ridiculous! I won't use again, will use another travel merchant instead next time.

Suddenly stopped receiving cashback from them
I used to receive cashback on every trainline order I made whether on a desktop or the app. I had no problems up until after January 2024. I no longer receive cashback, it doesn't even track on my earnings page so I've had to open up missing claims for at least 3 times I've used Trainline via Top cashback. I'm not impressed since I've followed the rules every time but to not even track, shows that it's an unreliable system.

Beware if buying a railcard
On two occaisions trainline has paid the minimum cashback when I have purchased a railcard (for my wife and myself). Once may be a mistake but twice - and read the other reports below which say the same. Straighforward if purchasing a train ticket but maybe go elsewhere for a railcard.
