Still very poor
First cashback tracked in 7 months! By coincidence, I was using a very old laptop, and also Sainsburys have reduced the cashback to 89p (from 93p).
I will start to give them their stars back once they start to clear the backlog of claims (19 at the moment, every other order for the last 7 months).

Never tracks
Used to work fine, now never tracks, and requires every claim to be manually raised, plus expect you to give an amount less VAT, even though it's not even split out on the receipts. Very disappointed in Sainsbury's doing everything they can to avoid paying - what's the point of offering it if you never honour it?

Nothing tracking for the last 6 months
Sainsbury's used to be reliable cashback but as of the last six months nothing has been tracking. I've reported these issues and they are all "with the retailer". So as well as not getting any cashback I'm also wasting my time reporting into the void.

i have struggled several times to get my cashback from sainsburys
sainsburys has often come up as a 0.00 payment which i have had to chase taking several months to be able to claim.

Suddenly no cashback received
Cashback from Sainsbury's never can be seen under my purchases until I intervene. Topcashback themselves have been very good at recovering any cashback but it does take me to make a complaint. I make a purchase each week through topcashback for Sainsbury's Groceries and Sainsbury's state they will give generally between £1.00 and £1.50. So where is my money Sainsbury's?

Awful... zero stars if it were possible
A new online customer. My order failed to track, having to submit manual claims minus VAT, how in the World is a customer expected to work that out from their receipt when nothing is highlighted for VAT? Never had this with any other online supermarket/retailer. This company seem to be doing everything they can to make it difficult/impossible for customers making genuine purchases to get their legitimate cashback. Shocking service. 1st online order is also going to be the last with them.

Rarely tracks and never pays out
Transactions very rarely track, and for how little you get back it never feels worth the hassle of submitting a claim. On the rare occasion that it does track, it always gets rejected anyway. Completely pointless them being on this platform!

Having to submit a claim every purchase
Exactly as others have reviewed. I am now having to submit a missing cashback claim for every purchase as it never tracks and then have issues with their VAT subtraction (if they ever respond). It's becoming pointless them being on this site. Sort it out Sainsbury's or else remove yourself from cashback sites if you don't want to pay it.

Not tracking again
Here we go again. This happened last year. Despite the "your visit has been recorded" screen, your visit is NOT recorded and I'm having to submit a missing cashback claim for every order placed in the last month. And THEN when it says to submit the claim WITHOUT VAT, they then recalculate that total and take the VAT off for a second time so sometimes that means the order total is under the £45 minimum. Ridiculous. Stop asking for ex VAT if you're going to do it yourself, stop doing it yourself, or frankly just make it track in the first place. Infuriating.

As many others have noted all of my transactions with Sainsburys never pay out now..they just get confirmed at £0 !! Don't waste your time. Spend hundreds..get nothing. Great !

Orders don't track. Claims apparently go uninvestigated for months. Eventually, the cashback gets declined (3 out of the last 3 "resolved" claims), not always for reasons which I fully agree with.
My oldest claim is now 6 months old, and claims are accumulating faster than they are being cleared, as I order weekly (and have to claim every time). I currently have 11 orders subject to claims.
Very disappointing performance from a major name in UK grocery.
They get 1 star because they at least offer cashback on every order, unlike their competitors who disallow cashback for amending orders, or limit cashback to the first few orders.

Waited for months to be told "TopCashback was not seen as the final referrer of the purchase."
Really!, well I don't use anyone else - therefore lies and a con to genuine shoppers who have been misled/mis-sold a cashback deal
So message to Sainsbury - I will use up my Nectar points and shop elsewhere with companies that actually pay out cashback.
Message to Topcashback - you need to seriously look at this or are you complicit in the mis-sold/mis-led scam?

As per all the other messages below, Sainsbury's have changed something in their process so that now the click throughs don't track properly anymore - and then if you actually take the trouble to raise a customer services claim they decline completely valid claims saying that it wasn't linked to topcashback. Absolute rubbish. Very poor from Sainsburys, this always used to work fine.

No longer rewarding Loyal Customers
When I started using Sainsbury's through Top Cashback, the rewards worked perfectly however, since the beginning of 2025, i've had to chase for every week's shop that I have done.
And now Sainsbury's are refusing my cashback saying i didn't go through Top Cashback to do my shop
Now why would I not do that !!!!
you offer a cashback when we use this service, so please honour the offers you make and reward your loyal customers - or they will shop elsewhere
