Even though I booked the hotel well before I intended to travel (you still only pay on the day at the hotel) the cashback tracked and was payable before I stayed at the hotel. Thing is, I could cancel the booking now without needing to pay and I've already got the money... I won't, but it seems wrong - but good.

Booked a room for £38 then with the addes taxes at checkout came to £44. Expected 8 % cashback but only got £3.68. Will not use again.

Cashback tracked within hours of purchase and 10% is a pretty good cashback rate, especially as hotels.com were cheaper than the hotel's own website! Our booking is not until September so not sure when the cashback will become payable but so far I'm very happy!

Hotel.com take ages to pay out, but it's worth it due to the high percentage and they do pay out without you putting a claim in. Cashback shows within a few days on your account. Booking rooms was ok though the hotel did not know I had booked a double room instead of a twin so I had to change rooms. Still, I've used them again since.

Friendly chaps, I had to cancel my second booking with them due to bad weather, although the booking confirmation said non refundable... I was able to get a full refund without penalty!
