The SOLE reason for purchasing this expensive travel insurance was the the cashback available for the cover required. According to Columbus i was referred to them by another site not this one and therefore won't be issuing my cashback. On that basis i would suggest you avoid and go elsewhere for you travel insurance.

Tracked ok once but not 2nd time (not my insurance). No response from retailer on cash back claim. Not renewing with Columbus this year as they require all medical conditions declared and then penalize you for doing so. Even menopause gives a ~£30, ~30% hike.

I purchased travel insurance from Columbus on 30 July 2010. Two and a half month later (and my holiday now a distant memory) the transaction has still not tracked, despite a manual claim and 2 nudges! As the expected cashback was over £7 I am not too pleased and shall avoid this company in the future.

Cashback didn't track so opened a claim. Claim was then rejected months later as according to Columbus I was referred to them by another site. I have used TopCashback for years so I know that I did nothing wrong. Looks like others have been caught out with this exact same poor excuse. Will not go with Columbus again as it is obviously untrustworthy.

The quote given via TCB is £52.96 for a 5 day single trip for 3 of us. If I go directly it costs £26.55. Make sure you always check directly.

i clicked through topcashback to this website and got quoted £65 for annual silver travel insurance,i clicked through another time only this time directly NOT through topcashback and got quoted £55 a 10 pound saving and more than what you would get in cashback

I took out a gold single trip policy for ten months which cost over two hundred pounds but it has failed to track despite Columbus having a good record of tracking quickly.I have had to put in a manual claim which I am hopeful will be responded to.This is the first time I have had problems.

Its cheap but not worth the paper its written on . They will use every excuse going to get out of paying what is clearly stated on the policy . They are also very difficult to contact . I was delayed for 27 hours and told I couldnt claim delay money as my flight was finally cancelled yet the policy states you are entitled to money up to 24 hours

I recently took out travel insurance from Columbus Direct and they must have been the easiest company to buy from. Most companies ask loads of questions but Columbus hardly asked any, which in my book made it alot easier to fill the application form in.

Still waiting after all these years, yes Columbus more than 1 year has passed and several prompts to you from this site, but your failure to stand by the agreement lost you my repeat business. Precise transcation details including policy number, transaction date and time, HTTP address, email policy confirmation etc were supplied on more than one occasion to no avail.
