1. Samsung note 4 bought outright told in stock waited nothing rang up told 2 weeks. 2. Decided to take contract with Vodafone through mobilephonesdirect told good coverage was rubbish but phone turned up prompt. phone returned contact ended due to poor signal. 3 reordered phone told 7 days on 5th day told an extra 16 on top. This company is one of the most unprofessional I have ever ordered from there is no customer satisfaction and all of the apologies doesn't give me what I have ordered just false information. Save your self hassle if you want a contract go direct to your supplier outlet. If you want to buy a sim free Ebay or suppler or manufacture and save yourself all the hassle.

I was truly disgusted by a service where, almost a month after my purchase, I still have not received my phone. I must admit - I used mobile phones direct because I did like their prices which are competitive. After calling them however, I was told that my delivery could only be sent to my home, and if I was not in, it would be left at my local post office. This suited me as my local post office was nearby. They clearly hadn't delivered the instructions correctly because I was then informed my phone was at a depot somewhere completely different which was not my local post office. I asked for re-delivery to have the phone left with my neighbour -only to find my neighbour hadnt received it and the phone company claiming it wasnt there either. It has now been almost a month since I placed the order and I have tried everything but I still do not have my phone. The necessary customer representatives have not called me back and my emails are unanswered. Utterly disgusting client service

Bought 2 mobile phones in 2 seperate transactions. Neither time did I receive cashback. I lodge ticket through Topcashback. The seller stated they were not paying out due to it not being purchased through Topcashback when on both occassions it clearly was. Will not use again

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS MERCHANT BASED ON RECEIVING ANY CASHBACK !!! Firstly I placed an order in November and the phone took weeks to be delivered, even when they originally stated in stock. The customer service dept. were terrible - if you can get through - never any accurate information. With regards to the cashback amount 12 weeks is what's stated but its been SIX MONTHS and still not paid...although it has been 'confirmed for month’s' ! Sent TopCashBack tickets requesting an update, but only received automated type responses.

Awful - total con - no cash back (to me) does make me wonder if someone else is cashing in on this? Wouldn't recommend - stick to professional, reputable company and give this malarkey a wide berth!

So... I thought I’d give this company a try because the deals were great, the handset prices were competitive and it all seemed to good to be true. I was right. Back at the end of October, I decided to cancel my old contract and start anew. I decided to opt for EE network via mobile phones direct. The phone arrived pretty quick. After using the IPHONE 5S for a few days, the signal coverage was awful in my area, unable to even obtain a 2G signal. After numerous discussions with EE, and setting changes, they agreed it was unacceptable as I was predicted better service. They said they would accept for me to cancel my contract early, but I had to do this via mobile phones direct. This is when the trouble really started. First of all... if you call, be prepared to wait on hold for minimum 45 mins-1 hour to speak to someone, and if you email, I wouldn’t even be confident in getting a reply, let alone within the specified 24 hours. I was told to return the handset, then they would liaise with EE and cancel the contract, then I could start a new one on an alternative network. I did this (leaving me with no mobile phone or contactable number), days and days turned into weeks of waiting, and me calling and chasing the return. I was told there was no manager to approve this return and I had to wait for him to return! how unprofessional. Anyway upon their return the following week, I was told it was sorted. Yet when I called to get my PAC code, they told me they cannot give it to me because my account is active and mobile phones direct have not closed the case. Weeks and weeks passed without any answers. In the end I took matters into my own hands and literally spent hours on the phone relaying messages from EE to mobile phones direct. It turns out that the accounts department were not speaking to anyone, they were relying on emails to EE, which were being sent to the WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS?!? Retailer does not pay out and claims that your purchase has been tracked via a second source! Wish I had viewed other comments on this site before purchasing as they use the same tactic with everyone else. TCB should remove them from their site. Free gift with contract also did not appear and had to chase them on multiple occasions before receiving.

I too experinced very poor response wrt cashback claim. After claiming missed cashback the vendor is claiming that I used some other 2nd party service. This 100% is not the case!

Waste if time for cashback. Said it would track at 1p initially then increase to £15.15 once phone delivered and contract started. This hasn't happened and has gone to payable at 1p!! At least the contract & phone were a good price.

Pre-ordered new Mobile (3 weeks in advance). No communication post the expected delivery date, chased merchant who advised they should get some the following week hopefully. (An email about an existing order costs nothing). This was despite the fact there website was offering the phone for next day delivery. Cashback should have been £15.50 - they are refusing to pay this "Another marketing channel was credited with the sale" - total rubbish - I've been using TopCashBack for years, I know exactly what I'm doing and by them denying TopCashBack the information with regards who the 'other marketing channel' is - they are basically robbing me of the earn't cashback. Will never use them again. This is happening more and more with cashback offers, I think retailers are using TopCashBack for referalls and just trying to duck out of paying.

In my previous comments, I left 5 stars for Top Cashback service who did their job of chasing this awful merchant and not for the merchant themselves. I have now given 1 star for the merchant to provide the actual story. I supposed to be getting £15+ cashback and they are making excuses that I did not use Top Cashback for this purchase. Silly excuse, but what you can expect. DON'T buy from this merchant ever.

Same as so many others have commented here: "another marketing channel was credited with the sale". I haven't had problems with any other cashback offers, just this merchant. The phone was great, the contract price was great, but NO CASHBACK :-(

Don't order with mod expecting the full amount of cashback tracked at £0.02 and when I logged a miss tracked cashback the merchant fused to honour the cashback as the were unable to prove that I have qualified for the offer even though top cash back confirmed that it was. It's about time top cash back drop this site as nobody gets the £30 cashback that they expect!!!

Poor customer service received 2p cashback despite spending months following up why they haven't paid the £30. Would not recommend using this merchant - Have had many positive experiences on topcashback but this is the only negative one so far despite providing all required information!

I wouldn't bother ordering from these. Cash back only ever tracks at 2p and when you put a claim in to tcb they state that mpd have no record of a transaction even though the cash back tracked at 2p two hours after taking out the contract. I think that tcb should get rid if mpd from their system they never pay the cash back so what's the point in them being on a cash back website !!!

Similar review to everyone else on here namely that I purchased an 18 month, £25 per month contract expecting a total of £30 cashback. My initial order was £3.99 (the P&P of the phone) and then the £25 per month was debited by my mobile network operator. The cashback initially tracked as £0.01 but I queried and nudged this straight away. I will not be using Mobile Phones Direct to make a future online purchase!

Nearly a year of waiting for Cashback of promised £30.00. No amount of nudging seems to make any difference. Is there any point in listing them as giving Cashback when they seem to not pay out? Difficult to know how well TCB are really pushing them.
