No reason for it however this retailer seems to be constantly declining cash back offers and doing so late in order for you not to be able to argue it. Will happily not bother shopping at Matalan

Had to claim for cashback
Like many others I completed a purchase in Nov 2024 on two separate orders, totalling a decent chunk of cashback. I used no vouchers/discounts etc. so breached no t&c's but the claim was declined. I had to go via TopCashBack claim service to resolve and receive the money eventually. Really poor form from Matalan - but I am not alone it seems.

Decided to buy because of cashback, BUT IT WAS DECLINED
Was due over £6 cashback, i was a new customer and used no other vouchers. Yet like so many others my cashback was DECLINED!!!!! so many others the same TOPCASHBACK you should remove Matalan from the website!!!

Declined 50% of the time
I've used topcashback when ordering from Matalan on numerous occasions and it's hit and miss at whether they confirm or decline a payment. 50/50 chance of it being confirmed. I know why some are declined (returned items) but my last 3 purchases were kept in full so I don't understand why they're declined.

Tracked but declined. What's the point? Perhaps in your specific retailer information you could include the percentage of all transactions - both tracked and claims - that actually get paid. For MATALAN, I bet it'd be very very low.

Matalan have declined my cashback (back from October 2024) for no apparent reason. I didn’t use a discount code and the purchase was completed in full with no refund requested! Small amount of cashback but irritating nevertheless.
