Hotels.com will do everything in their power to dodge paying out
Do not be fooled by the rates advertised for Hotels.com on TopCashback. The reality is simple: if your claim involves a substantial amount of money, they will do everything in their power to dodge paying it out.
I am an exclusive user of TopCashback — I only ever click through their platform when making purchases. For my latest stay, I followed the correct procedure to the letter. Yet, after months of waiting, my high-value cashback claim was arbitrarily rejected.
The reason provided? The absolute rubbish excuse that "TopCashback was not seen as the final referrer of the purchase."
This is factually wrong and an outright dodge. I used no third-party discount codes, visited no comparison sites, and completed the journey straight from TCB to the booking confirmation. The simple truth is that because the payout owed to me was relatively high, they manufactured a flimsy pretext to deny it.

Saved some money
My initial cashback was not approved, this sometimes happens. I queried it as we got
the message on screen that it had been tracked and we ticked a section to say the accommodation had been purchased. Couple days later we got a message the order had been tracked. Excellent service.

My favourite retailer
The majority of time my cashback tracks fine. I’ve saved a lot of money with this site over the years, especially when they have an increased cash back offer in. My only criticism is you have to wait until after the holiday date to get paid out.

Very fast payout
The transaction tracked in minutes, the listing said the payout would be 12 weeks after the final day of your stay but to my surprise it paid out in just 5 days.

So angry!
I booked 2 large bookings so that I could get the cashback rewards and after the trip the cashback was denied - TopCashback was not seen as the final referrer of the purchase". I am so angry as they were the final referrer and I am sure that because they are large payouts, they have been denied.
