Cashback unreliable
Had to go via missing cashback claim which took months for them to decline saying 'booked outside EMEA'. This was for a usa booking using the USA link on the page. Car company itself was OK, but don't rely on getting a good deal using the cashback....

Whilst i like this company for car rental on my holidays, I have had no luck getting any cashback. I am still waiting for cashback from my booking on the 11th of April. There has been an update in the cashback time just as I was about to raise a ticket from 20 weeks to 21 weeks. You can't raise a ticket until 4 weeks after the estimated payable date. I have found cashback with Budget un reliable.

no different from any other car rental. they try the scare tactics to get you to pay for the extra insurance, which costs a fortune. buy your own excess insurance it is a fraction of the cost.

Booked SUV which was not there when arrived. I was offered a 7 seater minvan. Not really suitable. Rep tried her best and I ended up with a smaller car. Request for a refund which is still o/s hence 2 stars. Would be 3 stars if I get a refund.

Went through the normal process to book via the topcashback site. After not getting the cashback processed I launched an enquiry. Budget have just decided that they do not want to honour their commitments. Very annoying and definitely not a company that I would use again.

I don't understand all the great comments below. I got the cashback accepted fairly quick but in terms of paying the cashback it's been my worst experience on top cashback so far. I hired the car in August 2013 (made booking online in July) and still haven't received the cashback - it's March 2013 now!
