Normally with Travelodge, you get what you expect, a room and a bed at a very good price, if you book well in advance. This time the room was not good and customer service very bad!

Link through TCB to Travelodge website doesn't work booking rooms - null data error on their website. Have tried on 3 computers with different operating systems and browsers in different locations - all have the same problem. Used to work fine - doesn't now. Travelodge website works fine when not clicking through TCB's link. What a waste of 2 hours of my life trying to get this to work for the sake of about 70p. Use laterooms instead. It always works and you get ten times the cashback.

I used their website to book my second visit to a Travelodge hotel in recent times as even though my first experience staying there in the Southampton hotel was dire, I thought I would give them a second chance.
The website is fine, although be wary of unexpected card charges at the end.
On both occasions, the second time being in one of their Waterloo hotel, the rooms were far too hot, there is no air-conditioning and for some reason, they don't like to to open the windows more than a couple of millimeters.
Although the London based hotel was alright, for the first stay, there was a group of us but we had numerous problems: There was a huge, unavoidable wet-patch in the corridor, the toilet leaked, the sofa-beds were grimy, the spare sheets provided contained a nice crushed spider, and one of the rooms had no key! ...did I mention that it was uncomfortably hot? Luckily we were only staying there for just one night.

Have tried to use cashback twice with Travelodge and both times have tracked as zero even though have honoured the bookings and paid for the rooms. Won't bother going through topcashback next time as not worth the effort

Used Hotel at Gatwick. Booked 3 rooms 4 months before arrival date. when we arrived only one room booked for the correct date the other two for the following month. When we complained and showed our confirmation we were told that we must have altered the dates (?) "Out of the goodness of our hearts we will find you 2 more rooms" was the response. Room 1 entry card would not work so back to reception -nobody speaks English. Room 2 door opens only to find couple already in room. Room 3 nothing on the beds or pullout and not very clean. Back to room 1 out of 5 lights in bathroom ! only 1 worked. It was not the month for cleaning as everything in the bathroom was DIRTY. Complained to the company but as expected no response Would I use them again?

seems like i'm in the minority, tracked at £0 for me, which was fine as i thought after we stayed it would change, but still tracked as zero, we booked the room for january 2011 and have heard nothing back with cashback, i'm assuming its not coming through!
can't really complain I suppose as its so cheap for a room anyway, still bit annoying, but not like i've lost money :)
Did book room 3 months in advance, maybe that affects the tracking!
