Not working
Since last year, whenever I try to book tickets on this site, I just get the message “Sorry, something's gone a bit wrong” and can't proceed any further. Even clearing the cache and switching browsers hasn’t helped. What I discovered was that if I selected tickets without logging into Trainline, and only logged in at the payment stage, the booking would go through. However, today, when I tried to purchase a Railcard, that same unhelpful message appeared again, so I ended up buying it through the National Railcard website instead. I’ll avoid using Trainline as much as possible from now on. I’ve previously submitted complaints about this to Trainline, but it seems nothing has been fixed.

Didn't track orders
Avoid, as sadly the tracking of orders doesn't seem to work :( If it's fixed even with 1% cashback it's still something but until fixed don't waste your time.

I use trainline quite often and purchases rarely track. Even after providing all the proof for a claim i.e order refs, date & time they still decline the payment. Not even worth 1 star

No Stars! They blocked and refuse cashback.
No cashback given by trainline. We have been through the T&Cs a number of times double checking. All rules followed and correct but no pay out to cashback site. Avoid.

TERRIBLE
I have been waiting for my 2023 cashbacks which were confirmed to be paid, only to see today (28/2/25) that they have been declined by Trainline. DONT BOTHER as they DONT PAY OUT.
I've also got a business account with them and now I am cancelling that so they will miss out on all my purchases which are a lot and of high value.
Terrible service to say the least

Scam
Cashback confirmed after the purchase, however, instead of paying the cashback, it was declined 6 months later. As a result, you can’t submit a claim as the transaction was made 100 days before. It’s not a single case when I read through the review of Trainline. Obviously Trainline just used the cashback to attract you but then declined it a few months later without any chance to submit a claim. I suggest TopCashback to block this company.

Cashback confirmed, but later declined after several months had passed.
Used trainline on 2 occasions to purchase an annual railcard. First cashback proceeded to payable as expected. Second cashback didn't initially track but Trainline later confirmed cashback was owed. After several months in 'confirmed' status however, rather than paying the owed cashback they changed the status to 'declined'.

Typical for a train - you wait ages and then it's cancelled.
I've been using topcashback for years but this is the first time it's gone completely wrong. From memory I think I had to put in a claim because it didn't track but that was nearly a year ago. Now nearly a year later it has been declined. Not going to persue the matter and will not use again for a measly 1%.

Don’t use - no cash back on 6 transactions
It’s 2025 , cash back from 2019 showed as still pending for it to be refused for 6 separate transactions. TCB should not allow a company to do this . Receipts available

Can't handle multiple purchases
I often use Trainline to book tickets for several people. Even though I click through from TCB each time, it only ever registers one of the transactions (usually the cheapest!) and ignores the others. I have to then raise a ticket, which takes 6 months to resolve. Often, this takes so long that I've forgotten all about it, so lose out. I don't know if this is a TCB issue or a Trainline issue.

Despite numerous purchases through TCB, confirmed clicks, nothing ever tracks. TCB CS "do their best" but always the same response.
