This was our first experience of TopCashBack and we purchased a £99 RAC Breakdown policy through the site on 7th July 2011, which after the RAC online discount went down to £69. (I do not remember seeing the small print regarding the 3 month validation period, however it does now so fair enough). Payment was made today on 12th October 2011, which is pretty much 3 months to the day.
Transfer must be made into your Bank Account (which can take a fair few days apparently), but not PayPal, which again is fair enough.
All in all this was a great deal and we will use this again! We got 12 months RAC Breakdown for £29 down from the original price of £99!
Just remember that the cash back will only be paid after the validation period of 3 months...

I joined RAC and was delighted with the amount of cashback. So delighted I also joined up my student daughter for her car - and then that cashback hasn't tracked!
However two weeks later my car broke down in a hotel car park. RAC couldn't have been better. Came quickly, diagnosed the fault, and then arranged a recovery home when I was ready to leave the hotel.

Tried this on the off chance that it was true, £29 for cover for both me and £29 for the wife was £58 - got £40 back so two cars covered for 1 yr for £18 not bad and it true it does work.

BEWARE if you pay monthly you will not revcieve the cash back that is not out lined, i will be cancelling my monthly payments and moving back to the AA. i feel cheated!

Cashback on a breakdown policy tracked immediately after signing up, but then a couple of months later went to payable at £0.00. Raised a claim and still nothing - wouldn't use them again, especially after a friends recent experience after needing to call them out. Not a good service on any level.

Clicked though to do the £28 membership offer (expired 2 Sept) which, with cashback, came down to about a fiver. Couldn't complete the RAC online form as my car was not listed. I have an Alfa 159 (a current model and hardly rare) and only one Alfa model was listed (the GT)! Of course RAC offered to process it over the phone but no cashback, so self defeating. Emailed the address given to ask if it could be remedied but still no reply nearly a month later. Can't help thinking this is a cynical ploy by RAC to limit the availability of cashback.

I was really pleased to see I was getting £50.50 on a £66 policy and it was showing pending. Today it's gone to 0.00 payable and I was going to query it but now looking at the small print I see it's not payable if you pay monthly. Seems a bit unfair as you're still taking out the policy so obviously pay the full amount if you can afford to in order to get your cashback.

only downside to using rac as ifound out last week was they charge you a premium rate for calling them out, which i really find annoying as most people will be calling them from a mobile at the roadside !!
