Got an email from Topcashback saying there would be no payment of cashback as our policy was cancelled. Phoned legal and general only to find out they had changed our policy resulting in a new policy number. One that didn't match the cashback claim. I wonder how many other people they have done this to to avoid paying out?

Since Nov 2012 I have been waiting for £50.00 cash back and with lots of others on here I have not received it. I have chased every few months and been lied to by Legal and General and I feel that Top Cashback should REMOVE them from their site. All I see are people with the same comments - DO NOT USE!!!!!!! Feel let done by both TCB and Legal & General.....

Cheap home insurance but got 0 cash-back despite buying a bona fide policy and running it for a full year. Transaction tracked at 0.00 then disappeared. Topcashback have been disputing this for 18 months, now today they have finally said the transaction isn't valid for 5 generic reasons, none of which are valid. Avoid

Do not use legal and general to issue the cash back. I took a home insurance policy our in November 2012. Paid the premium in full now February 2014 they have declined the cashback and topcashback will not take it any further. Very disappointed as took the policy as the £50 cash back made it cheaper than rivals. Will not be using legal and general or topcashback again

Disgusting - don't waste your time with Legal and General, they offer great cashbacks but DO NOT honour them. I have been waiting since April 2013 for my £60 cashback. The last time Topcashback got in touch with me was October 2013 I have sent two nudges since then and have now sent another comment to find out what is going on - Topcashback don't seem to be able to help with getting money for their customers but are still willing to advertise Legal and General offers (re-word SCAMS)

I, like quite a few others here have had my claim declined after more than 14 months of messages and nudges. It seems like L&G just fob off any old claim as they can't be bothered to follow it up. On the other hand perhaps it is the TCB site staff that are doing this. I certainly would advise anyone thinking of using L&G to think again and use one of the other more customer focused insurance companies. My loss may be a small change to such a big concern but if word gets around enough they may feel more likely to honour their pledges.

Hi, Do not buy your home insurance from this merchant. I bought home insurance from them. They will not pay the cash back as promised. I waited for more than a year to hear that my transaction was declined without further explanation on the reason.

Took out a policy June 2013 - been tracking £60 since - told today by topcashback , THEY WILL NOT PAY OUT Why ??? they said i have used another site , How can this be when it has been tracking for 7 months ???????????? This company are a waste of time , not to be trusted , go else where like i will be

Did not get cashback. This is a con! I was told to wait 6 months for the cashback and it would track at zero and then would change. Waited six months still not paid. Eventually recorded at zero with no reason given. This company does not pay up. Do not trust this and make a decision on cashback as you will not get it. Now it says I am too late to put a claim in!

Firstly my purchase did not track and I had to make a claim.Seems highly suspicious to me that some of these Merchants for Insurance and Mobile Phones that lure you in with a promise of a high cashback amount never seem to track.Waited 4 months only to be told I did not meet the terms and conditions.Absolute rubbish!!I've now asked Topcashback to get clarification as to why my claim has been denied.Don't trust any Insurance company as they will riggle out of any occasion when they have to pay money out.Will now wait God knows how long for Topcashback to chase Legal and General for a definitive answer.No doubt they will come up with some feeble excuse!

No cashback received 9 months on despite numerous complaints and spoken to the merchant who said it is top cash backs error. I don't believe this to be the case although I don't seem to be getting anywhere at either end. Lesson learned here! NEVER USE THIS MERCHANT!!!

I don't usually write reviews but I'm really not happy with Legal & General. Took out insurance on 14/5/13. The merchant notes say it will track at £0.00 for 6 months at which point the correct rate will be added. It's now 11/12/13 and this still hasn't happened. Just went to make a claim, but as it's more than 200 days Topcashback can't do anything. Will avoid anything from Legal & General in he future because of this experience.

Bought in July but did not track despite complying with all t&c's and clearing cookies etc. Cannot lodge a missing claim for 180 days which I am sure will not get me anywhere. Do not use.

Bought a contents only policy and did not receive cashback promised. Paid for policy in full. AVOID. Also TCB help was practically non-existent.

HI, I have Used Legal & General once for my sisters home insurance and again for my mother's both times still no pay out after 18 months. Here is the thing I forgot the poor cash back from this merchant and went and insured my own house recently and guess what dint track back and had to put in another claim. Its a safe bet that they wont honour this cash back either or reply to the people from top cash back. MY ADVICE FROM SOME ONE WHO HAS SUCCESSFULLY USED THIS SITE FOR MANY YEARS... PAY A LITTLE MORE AND GO WITH ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY WHERE YOU HAVE MORE CHANCE OF GETTING PAID. GOOD LUCK!!!

Tracked at £0.00 then transaction declined. As others have also pointed out, this "cashback" appears to be a lie as Legal & General just refuse claims and you then have no way to argue with that decision.

Finally validated at the correct promoted amount, but not confirmed as yet. It took a complaint re t&c's, which have now been changed. So take screenshots as you may need to go back to the t&c's at the point of sale. I've been informed by L&G I should receive my cash at 5 months, which should be very early July. It will be chased up again if not paid by then. TCB is now advising I may have to wait 36 weeks!

Hi there, Hopefully you start to see your transaction progress for you soon. These can take up to 36 weeks to become payable from the date of purchase, this is the estimate based on how quickly the cashback has been received in the past, but I can assure you that you will see the cashback reflected in your account once this has been received. I waited over 15 months to get anywhere with this merchant and in the end they declined my cashback. The order didn't track, I submitted a claim, and TopCashback were waiting for what seemed forever for the merchant to get back to them. I hassled L&G on Twitter to sort it out and while I was told by them my claim would be processed, they didn't say that they would not be awarding any cashback! Avoid!
