Like getting blood from a stone
IHG rarely track and when they do, never at the right amount. Proving your case every time is a struggle and I have transactions from a year and a half ago stuck on pending. Screenshot the cashback rate for evidence. The admin time of pursuing these claims really isn't worth booking through them - not even as a Platinum member with them. It's easier to use Expedia.

Previous cash back claim only resolved after customer service intervention. Now recent transactions have also not tracked It is poor

You won’t get the cashback
Stayed at a kimpton, expecting 8% cashback. They will not honour the cashback.. if i were you I would use a discount code and get discount when paying as that way its guaranteed.

Cashback hasn't tracked
Booked twice recently and neither have tracked. Should have read the reviews first. Thought perhaps I may have been at fault but evidently not.

Issue with the cashback being monitored
As soon as you select the dates for your booking and do a search, the cashback icon/extension seems to reset itself and does not track Have tried in Chrome and Firefox Firefox does the same but does seem to track the booking

Only paid on first room
We travel as a family and always have to book two rooms (on the same booking) but we only ever receive cash back on one of the rooms.

Lengthy process and had to lodge a claim
I had to lodge a claim as the cashback didn't show at all on my account. I also didn't receive what I had expected.

I've booked many hotels with this retailer through TCB and 99% of transactions do not track automatically, I have to spend so much time sorting it out and am still sorting out payments from a year ago. I booked nine transactions (each individually to make sure they tracked with TCB) on 5th November 23 totalling £4,804 and not one of them is showing on my account so I will have to go through the same drama again. IHG have consistently not tracked in all the time I've been using TCB and they really need to sort their system out

The rate is lower than other places and it failed to track
The prices on their website are usually a bit lower than the more general websites but their cashback rate is also lower. In my case the transaction failed to track for some reason and I had to raise a ticket. After 7 months I finally got my cash back.

Never Tracks
I do multiple IHG bookings and none of them track through topcashabck. I use Chrome or safari and it makes no difference. Always use the desktop version and it never tracks. The saving grace is that when you raise a claim, it does get resolved and you receive the cashback. However, the system needs to work properly so the cashback tracks when you make the purchase.

Keep receipts
IHG payout on about 10% of my click throughs and 50% of the missing cashback claims. And beware that you can only go back 3 months on missing cashback so don't book too far in advance!!

five months wait for nothing
In Dec 2022 Topcashback had a separate cashback section for Crowne Plaza Hotels(part of IHG) I made a booking for a stay in March 2023. It did not track so put in a missing claim. waited 5+ months and IHG declined the cashback

Very slow for confirmed purchases to become payable - if at all
I have numerous past stays that have not yet become payable - going back to December 2021. The Customer Service team do nothing but tell me I have to wait. Some more recent stays have become payable soon after I completed my stay. Why is payment so random?

Booked, didn't tarck (but the click was recorded fine). Declined "...as the network has not identified ourselves as the last referral to the merchant’s site and this transaction". Seems very common, but then IHG IT is notorious and their whole operation has been even more chaotic since the 2022 hack. Can't recommend booking via TCB, I'm afraid. As for the hotels, well it's a mixed bag - depends on the local franchisee. Definitely avoid Birmingham M6J7 (Great Barr) in the UK - horrible service there.

This retailer is not easy to earn from as purchases do not show up in your account you have to raise tickets to customer service on 90% of transactions.
