Go Compare car insurance cashback
I don't often review merchants I have used on Topcashback, but as there have been quite a few people who have had a bad experience with Go Compare, I thought I would give a positive review, in the hope it might reassure others that transactions can work out okay.
I bought car insurance via Topcashback/Go Compare on 20th June this year and the cashback tracked and became payable on 16th August, which I didn't think was bad, considering some people's long wait for payment.
I had previously received notification from Go Compare of my acceptance for £250 excess cover, so I just had to wait for confirmation of the cashback itself.
I knocked off one star, as I seem to remember that the application process with Go Compare was a bit laborious, but overall a positive outcome and experience.
Good luck to anyone else who buys insurance through Topcashback/Go Compare and I hope you have a successful and positive transaction.

Declined £40 for no reason. Took out a new policy with Yoga Insurance. Have policy number as proof still declined. Rip off. Avoid.

TCB + Gocompare = declined cashback
Do not fall for these 'exclusive' deals! My cashback tracked at £0.00 but never updated. Took over a year of chase for GoCompare to decline my cashback.
Appaling customer service by TCB upon appeal.
Do not fall for it.

Unable to use Rewards
Paid £5 membership but unable to transfer cashback from GO.COMPARE so lose the additional % so why bother paying the membership fee?

Sceptical But Paid!
I used Go Compare for my car insurance back in February 2024. It was initially pending, then got declined - I read up reviews on their history to paying up & wrote it off until it uplifted & paid up. Took a good few months but they paid as promised.

Cash back declined on new policy for no apparent reason. I could have got a better deal elsewhere but was relying on the £40+ promised reward to make it worth my while! Very misleading!! Not happy at all

Why do Top Cashback persist in promoting this company. Their record on pay outs is an absolute disgrace. Anyone buying from Go Compare needs to realise that you aren't getting cashback from the start because their affiliate company cannot run checks successfully.

Don't bother....
My claim was rejected because apparently they couldn't properly track it and be sure that i cant claimed cashback elsewhere which is ridiculous. The reason I went with my quote was taking the cashback in consideration...should have used another provider
