Still waiting for cashback nearly 5 months after staying at Castlefields hotel Manchester & Hotels.com have just emailed me asking me to review our stay! "Estimated payable" time on my earnings page is supposed to be 9 weeks. Have complained to TCB but they have not helped sort it out.

They wouldn't pay because I've cancelled the booking which I didn't and I stayed in that hotel. A company to avoid.

Cashback was first confirmed and later declined! Booking was still active and not cancelled so no idea why Hotels.com declined the cashback!! Very sneaky and declined it close to the 100 day mark so I can't even submit a query through Topcashback! VERY POOR!

Was reasonably happy with Merchant until recently. I have had several issues with tracking, despite receiving the pop-up window, saying that visit has been recorded. I have had to make several manual claims recently and have just been declined £42 cashback on a transaction that was recorded. Apparently TCB was not the last referrer??? Having received over£2000 in cashback from this merchant previously (that is a substantial amount of bookings), I am deeply unhappy with merchant. I have also noted in the past, that they also sometimes increase their prices through TCB, compared to their website direct, which I have taken up with TCB and am still waiting for an answer. As I have said, most dealings have been fine, but for some reason recently, I have had problems with them. Just be very careful

I have used Hotel.com on numerous occasions and they often have the best prices, the cshback is a bonus. Cash back is ONLY payable after your day and only after about12weeks does it become payable. So it's a bit of a wait but it has always paid out.

A bit hit and miss. Sometimes they track, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the claim gets settled eventually, and recently I had two claims denied wrongly. One stated that the order number wasn't recognised, but it was exactly the order number Hotels.com quoted. The other reason given was that the booking was cancelled, which is untrue. The claims took very long to be resolved, and I believe hotels.com are a bit behind and trying to get off the hook easily. Not a very trustworthy company.

Very poor on their part. Had 4 bookings and none of them paid through. Was told that "booking cancelled", 7 months after I had completed my stay.

Hotels.com are exploiting the lack of system in place by luring in customers with high cashback promises and just declining later by giving generic responses as they very well know that, it is hard for customers to pursue them. In my case, they said it was due to "Invalid Order Number" when I'd ensured that the click to the merchant was swiftly followed by the booking process. So unless they clean up their act, it is advised to stay away from these opportunists.

I booked and completed my stay but the order was not track at the time of booking. When I submitted a claim, it was refused due to invalid order number which is a total lie. Do not expect any cash back from this merchant, take your business elsewhere!!!

Just hope that it tracks. I've put hundreds of pounds through Hotels.com with TCB and when it tracks it's great but I don't think I've ever had a successful claim, Hotels.com simply say the booking was cancelled even if untrue.

only about 20% of the bookings now track automatically. It is worth booking through them for the welcomerewards scheme, but expect to have to track every single one through a claim

Don't expect cashback or them to ever price match. I stayed in dozens of hotels last year and almost all the cashback was refused, because apparently I had 'cancelled' the bookings. Complete utter lies by this crook company. On one occasion I found a room cheaper after booking, so asked them to honour their price match, which of course they didn't. There was only a tenner in the price, yet they didn't do it. Not recommended.

from what used to be the very best merchant on here, recently they changed, i travel almost weekly and was used to having all my hotels booke being tracked and paid when now for what ever reason bookings no longer track at time booking and now only 50% of my stays track at best, so now once i have covered my last 10 stays for my 1 extra free night I will be using another booking company, such a shame as this merchant used to be the absolute best

Fantastic company - excellent - use them all the time and cashback seems to track virtually every time. On rare occassions it hasn't tracked they have agreed with no quibbles. Can't recommend more highly - the best merchant I deal with on TCB.

It used to be good. Now Hotels.com set up all these new rules to avoid paying cash back. e.g. have to use the same card for booking and paying at hotel. Can't use any promotional code. Takes a year to get paid... Shame on you Hotels.com
