Topcashback service regarding missing cashback claim was excellent, but merchant declined genuine transaction after many months altho unable/unwilling to give reason. I won't be using them again

Cash back not tracked for two purchases as collected rather than had delivery. This was not clear at the time of purchase. Annoying company to deal with.

Tried to report a problem with my account, they blamed TCB. I then told them it happens even when I don't use TCB yet they ignore this & apologise for the problems I'm having with TCB.
There is no problems with TCB, it's the Argos site that has the issues.

Transaction not tracked and with everything going on in my life I forogt about it! Because Topcash only let you go back 100 days I lost out, so partly my fault but why not tracked in the first place? I hate it when you have to chase transactions up, not the first time it's happened either.

Issues with Argos website. Links via Top Cash Back don't seem to be working at the moment either.
NB for anyone trying to use Argos atm: Tried last week to purchase off Argos - only 2 items out of the 12 i ordered actually went through (had to phone them to find out as never received order confirmation or was notified transaction had been completed successfully - have reported but still seem to have problems). Have had to wait a week to find out if any of the other i placed have decided to join the original order....not the best time of year for technical hiccups Argos :|.

Never had cashback from this merchant. Very disappointed to spend hundreds of pounds and not receive any cashback. TopCashback have been unable to get any money out of them for me.

I purchased an annual travel insurance with Argos with cashback advertised but it has tracked and shown zero. Have tried to contact TCB but just keep going round in circles. Tried so many times but given up as a bad job. Just wont bother in future. Will just go somewhere that was a bit cheaper in the first place!!

Disappointed that they advertised an improved cashback but when I tried to access the website on a number of occasions I could not. It was the last day of their promotion, granted, but you should still be able to order & utilise the offer on the last day, otherwise cancel the offer altogether the day before! Argos' fauly not TCB

One of a very few merchants I've had a problem with. Everything else about the delivery order was fine, but no cashback (again!). Very small amounts of money involved, but still annoying.

I looked for a Lay Z Spa on Argos' website directly. It is £297 today.
I decided to see if I could get cashback on it so went through Topcashback. Suddenly the price shoots up to £349 for the same thing.
I double checked again by going directly and still only £297.
Why is it more if I buy it through this website???

Very annoyed about the cashback experience with this retailer. I ordered a combi microwave and requested click and collect. At the very end of the transaction I was asked if I wanted it delivered in the next hour or two by their own Shutl delivery service for £5 additional. I was happy to accept and received the item promptly. I was refused cashback because they considered that I had bought it from Shutl (in fact, if there is a problem with the item I have to get warranty service from Shutl, not Argos). I think this is an outrageous way to do business and the more I think about it the more I think I should go to trading standards about it. The cashback loss is not that important (less than £10). However, what is is the fact that you are not told beforehand that you are buying from someone other than Argos when it is all done on the Argos website and that this is in no way a usual or expected business practice.
