Too good to be true
The cashback was tracked a couple of weeks after purchase and a year later they declined it. I had spent quite a bit of time working out the most efficient means of hiring a car and that time seems to have been in vain

Avoid Alamo
Clicked through directly, all tracked by TCB. Alamo denies TCB was final click to their website and booking and denied cashback (after several months). Complete nonsense, of course. Really dubious additional fees also turned up after completing car hire for a week and the invoices they produce are absolute chaos, presumably tactically so. I hire cars frequently, never again with Alamo.

Alamo dont pay the cashback. I bought Feb 2023 and a year later no cashback
I chose Alamo because of the good cashback offered on Topcashback. I bought the hire car in Feb 2023 and its now Feb 2024 and they still have not paid the cashback. I recommend Europcar if you want cashback as they pay out.

Valid Purchase, Cashback Declined
I booked a car through Alamo for a holiday in Spain in June 2023. In February 2024 my claim was declined. I found all the necessary paperwork to prove my claim was valid however as 180 days had elapsed I was unable to pursue the claim. Disappointing.

Poor Cashback Experience
Tracked at non-US rate despite hiring a vehicle in US. And still waiting for cashback seven months later. Rental service was great, but cashback can’t be relied on.

I have used Alamo to book three seperate hire cars, and the first one has now been rejected after 4 months of waiting for no valid reason. I suspect i may be disappointed with the others as well. THEY DO NOT SEEM TO HONOUR THEIR CASHBACK.

Booked a rental in October 2015, waited until June 2016 to get a response and they rejected my claim. What makes mateers worse is they provided Top Cashback with absolutely no reason for their rejection. Thats £100 lost now, i'd only booked through Alamo because of the cashback, i could have got a cheaper rental elsewhere. Very disappointed

Don't count on getting cashback when comparing with other car hire firms as my cashback claim has just been declined after a booking made in Sept 2015 for a car hired in Florida. No reason given which is annoying. Will know next time to ignore cashback when comparing prices and then take it as a bonus if it gets paid.

Booked car for US travel and all tracked well until return when cashback reduced to zero and unpaid. Upsold an upgrade when collecting the car, otherwise car would have been rubbish, but changing the booking is then the excuse to not pay. Guess they know the tricks to avoid paying while making you think you've 'got a good deal' at the time.

Followed the Topcashback link but £146 cashback never tracked and no response to query raised. Nudged a couple of times but now well out of pocket as the company wasn't the cheapest quote.
