While many mention cashback, the energy company also comes in for praise for their service. On the subject of cashback, one delighted customer said: “Took out a new fuel supply with them in October, which was switched over by November. First Direct Debit came out in December and cashback immediately went from pending to payable.”

Other comments you’ll find include “nice little treat and pretty fast payment” and “very quick — paid as soon as my first month’s payment came out”. Another member stated: “Took out my boiler plan in October and received payout in February. The plan is great and they were out to service my boiler very quickly.” Others who have commented on the company said such things as “very easy to deal with” and “very helpful and efficient service — can’t fault them really”. While their overall rating on Trustpilot isn’t good, you will find some very positive SSE Energy review feedback.

One customer described them by saying: “Best energy company ever — so helpful, polite and value for money. I have energy and broadband with SSE for under £50 a month, which is fabulous.” Other remarks include “always friendly and helpful — any problems get sorted quickly and efficiently”, “I have been a customer of SSE for three years now and have nothing but praise for them” and “never had a single problem with SSE”. Poor experience with this merchant. Original transaction mid December 2016. Cashback claim raised end December. Payment 5 months later end of May 2017.

dissapointed with TCB and SSE. Not tracked... given any detail and paid two months so far to SSE as a supplier for dual fuel but nothing so far even though i raised a dispute 4 months ago.... now changed supplier to see what happens. not happy

First put me on the wrong broadband package, then overcharged me for first few months. 6 months later overcharged me again. 76Mbps throttled down to below 8Mbps at peak times. Customer service unresponsive. Avoid at all costs.

Cashback did not track at all; cookies were enabled and it showed as 'tracked' at the time. Have no account number to make a claim, or any other identifiable information, as the switch is not complete. 1*

Lots of complaints of not tracking. However mine tracked ok but SSE then cancelled my order without telling me. Could of ended up with no line connection with their in-competence. Would not recommend!

Cashback not tracked (eben though I deleted cookies etc before clicking the link), and they do not give you a reference / order number to make a cash back claim.
