On the subject of cashback, one delighted customer said: “Took out a new fuel supply with them in October, which was switched over by November. First Direct Debit came out in December and cashback immediately went from pending to payable.”

Other comments you’ll find include “nice little treat and pretty fast payment” and “very quick — paid as soon as my first month’s payment came out”. Another member stated: “Took out my boiler plan in October and received payout in February. The plan is great and they were out to service my boiler very quickly.” Others who have commented on the company said such things as “very easy to deal with” and “very helpful and efficient service — can’t fault them really”. While their overall rating on Trustpilot isn’t good, you will find some very positive SSE Energy review feedback.

One customer described them by saying: “Best energy company ever — so helpful, polite and value for money. I have energy and broadband with SSE for under £50 a month, which is fabulous.” Other remarks include “always friendly and helpful — any problems get sorted quickly and efficiently”, “I have been a customer of SSE for three years now and have nothing but praise for them” and “never had a single problem with SSE”. Ridiculous, you cannot get any cashback if you're switching from Sky broadband as the phoneline isn't BT. I spoke to SSE and the "solution" is to apply over the phone and forgo any cashback which today would have been £127. Hmm.........

Switched to SSE ten months ago via Topcashback. Transaction still pending despite the stated 21 weeks payment speed. My advice would be to avoid SSE and Topcashback if the cashback is your main incentive for switching.

SSE - avoid like the plague! Don't pay out despite valid claim, don't keep their promises. Poor poor company, I urge everyone to cancel and switch provider - it's the only way to stop lying cheats like this. Hope they go bust.

AVOID SSE if cashback or your time is of any value to you. I have now been advised after 4 months of waiting that SSE won't make a cashback payout, although the referral clearly tracked and my supply has been switched. This is the only time I have ever had a cashback declined by any merchant.

It has been over a year since I signed up to SSE via M&S energy and still no cash back. SSE say that I have cancelled the order. How that's possible is beyond me as I am receiving gas and electricity from them and get regular bills etc. So far TopCashback seems to be trying but considering how many people have complaints with SSE I feel that a clear message needs to be sent to SSE and they should be kicked off this site. It seems ridiculous to have been spending the last 13 months chasing after £46 but I now want to take it further as I only took the deal out because of the cash back.

Stay well clear of these conners.... Never tracked then after 4 months it got declined due to terms and conditions which is rubbish... Now moved to Npower...Not giving SSE a penny so they know how it feels ;-)

This is the response I got from SSE/Atlantic when I complained about cashback not being received after 8 months: "I have checked on your account and have spoken with our Welcomeline team and our Registration Department and they have told me that this would be a 3rd Party issue as you took this offer up via the cashback site of topcashback.co.uk. We have no offer like this with the internet sign ons so you do need to go back to them and enquiry why they have not given you your cashback".

Received £20 less than I should have, try to make a claim against this on the site to be told there was no offer in place although I have received £22 already?? Poor service, first and last time I have completed a larger transaction. Will not recommend in future!!

Joined SSE via M&S dual fuel and had to chase this twice in order to get it to track. Like everyone else, only tracked for single fuel. After raising a ticket the missing 23.30 was added. Cashback failed to appear by the first payout date of 31/05/11 and then the second date of 31/08/11 has once again failed to payout. It is now the 2nd September and no cash has materialised - POOR PERFORMANCE! - I'm hoping Topcashback can rectify this as soon as possible

Excited!! Well, after 18 months of trying to secure my 46.60, it is now showing as confirmed!! Am I nearly there?? It has done this before and then disappeared.. hopefully, I will have some good news soon, but what a carry on.. If and when I get the cash, I am really going to enjoy it!!!
