If your thinking of saving over a number of years with this company .... DONT you will get more money if you open a regular bank account and put money into that each month ,my plan is about to mature in August and so far i have lost over £300 let alone what it will be in August i am disgusted with this company and hate the fact that i have thrown so much money away over the years!!!!!

I never recieved cashback from Scottish Friendly after taking out a childs saving account last April. I put in a claim for this straight away & when I still hadn't heard anything 9 months later contacted top cashback customer support. I was informed that the sale didn't track properly and I wouldn't recieve my money. Very unhappy and will be going elsewhere when I open my next savings account.

DO NOT BUY I work in the financal services industry. These investments are likely to provide worse returns that no risk bank deposits. Also if you read it carefully they will take deductions of £700 over the 10 year period of your investment and if you cancelled the policy in the first 2 years you get nothing back. One has to wonder where their profits go, because it sure isn't to the members (investors).

I'm satisfied with Top Cash Back and have nothing to complain about TBC. However, this merchant, Scotish Friendly, is not acting honestly in offering cash back. I purchased their child bond in November 2010 via another cash back website, and the £40 cash back was traced immediately. However, it soon turned to £0. No reasons given. The claim is pending. Bad thing is, their bond performance is bad too, so I made a wrong investment. If I stop paying into this bond, I'll have a big loss because the up-front charge they've taken out. So I have to continue. Beware of this merchant.

I have now been waiting 14 months for this cashback. The transaction failed to track from the outset (and still hasn't tracked) and I have been waiting for 'retailer to respond' for a year. Extremely disappointing.

Like everybody else who signed up for this deal, it would appear that I also have NOT been paid anything like the correct amount. 4 months later, after all the right payments have been made, I am STILL waiting for £50.50 but have only £0.01 showing as payable - Appallingly bad deal - Do not touch with a barge pole.

I opened an account for my son in June and all monthly payments have been made. However, the transaction failed to track and I am still waiting for my enquiry to be dealt with by Scottish Friendly - very disappointed.

I took out a policy, and can now no longer afford payments. I have tried calling on several occassions to get advice re this, however they just keep on telling me that if i cancel the policy that i will loose all of the payments i have made. If i contine paying until the first 2 years are up i will then get a 'calculated' amount of what i have paid, although they cannot advise me what the amount is calculated on, only that i will not get back what i have paid in. I would advise to say clear of opening any policy with Scottish 'Friendly'

Word to the wise. This mcompany refuse to accept investments from people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. They say this is standard practice in the investment world - I say it's discrimination. They cash your cheque and eventually get round to refunding it.

Hi. I am a private investor which got really excited at the prospect of £100 cashback for £25/month investment. After analysing the Key Features Docs on Bond and Investment Plans it became obvious this is a RIP-OFF. The charges are extortionate!! You are much better off going with Legal & General which offer £50 cashback for a £1500 investment in their ISA (which includes several bond funds).

Hi, guys. I don't think TopCashBack is holding the money. If they do, they could do this to all the merchants. Then, this website won't exist any more, and TCB's business will go nowhere. So, the only answer is that Scottish Unfriendly declines to make the payment. Whether it has the intention to pay in the first place is the question. I have lodged a complaint to the Financial Services Authority. If Scottish Unfriendly deceives the public, there'll be somebody who will hold it accountable. Let's see what action the regulator will take. Please post your genuine disappointing expriences here. Let the FSA know what Scottish Unfriendly has done to us!

Why have TCB got these that do not pay on the site , maybe the answer is that TCB are the only ones getting paid

Hi all, I was considering this bond, but then had a look at reviews of it. Sounds like we should avoid it! http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?p=24516321&highlight=scottish+friendly+assurance#post24516321 Hope this helps, Max

tracked at 1p - payable at 1p - and no sign of the other £49.99 - if your doing this just for the cash back, dont bother.

I would leave well clear, tracked at 1p and now payable at 1p, TCB say I now have to put in a claim and wait 100 days, whats the point, stick to an other cashback site.
