Very impressed with Plusnet,switched from BT and halved my monthly bill for the same broadband speed.Excellent customer service I have received from any company in a long time.Very good referral programme,you can save loads by referring friends etc ( my user name - msmall ) if you're thinking of joining.
Would highly recommend not to mention the cashback as well.

Tracked quickly. Just waiting for the payment but don't expect any problems. One thing you need to be careful of with Plusnet (as with BT and any other ISP coming down the phone lines) is that the further you are from an exchange the weaker your broadband signal. Got this for my mum who lives in London and she has about 6mbps, which is as good as an average VirginMedia signal, while my father in law has about 2-3mbps in a village 3 miles from the nearest exchange!

PlusNet - Tracked and paid cashback without any issues.
I initially signed up as a contract'less customer (paid my own connection fee) to try their service, after 2 months, i was so pleased with their service. I opted to move onto a contract.
In order to move onto contract i requested my connection fee back and a free wireless router (sold mine). Made £78 back from this.
Speed?....
I am a non LLU customer on a BT Wholesale exchange, my speed is 6.5meg. It is constant, gaming is ace, I have no problems with lag in either MW2 or recently HALO:Reach. Tested a few times and my PING is 24 to 44ms at peak times - 8pm to 10pm.
Downloading speeds are of course dependant on what time of the day/night you download, as they have a very advance and 'fair' traffic shaping policy (they dont hide this unlike some ISP). Basically 6pm to 12pm your speeds for downloading are 'capped' however all other times they are un-restricted. Unless you opt for the more expensive package.
Lets be honest most of us either download late at night or during the day anyway... who wants a slow connection (downloading large files), when you are trying to use the net for entertainment.
Would i recommend this ISP?
i sure would.... highly recommend them, I left o2 to join them after o2 access (BT Wholesale package) went downhill faster then jill tumbling after jack!

Great deal. £38 cashback for taking the broadband plus homephone package. Moving back to plusnet after poor experience with Sky, so looking forward to the same good service that they have previously provided. Previous supplier frequently disconnected 4 or 5 times daily! Since moving to Plusnet have been constantly connected at a speed well in excess of that quoted on sign up. Although I am not in their "cheap" area I am more than satisfied with the service and their UK-based customer services are excellent. Would recommend.
