Still existing customer after 10years
Cashback declined because I’m apparently an “existing customer” with O2, even though the last time I used O2 was nearly 10 years ago.
Really? After almost 10 years I’m still classed as an existing customer? That feels ridiculous to me.
So just a warning for anyone looking at O2 SIM cashback: don’t count on the cashback being paid unless you have literally never used O2 before. They seem to have plenty of ways to reject it.
If you’re buying an O2 SIM deal, buy it only if the monthly price itself is good. Don’t rely on the cashback.

New customers only
Took out this sim only deal as an existing O2 customer. Meticulously read the terms and paperwork to see if this deal was for new customers only but this was not stated anywhere. Completed the purchase and received new SIM card. I could not transfer number to new SIM and when I phoned O2 only then was I told that this was a deal for new customers only and my number could not be transferred!
