Im afraid that I have to agree with the bad reviews for this company. I placed an order weeks ago and there has been no communication as to when I can expect my plants, or even, IF they will ever arrive. Shockingly bad level of service! Will never use this company again.

Here I am again, still waiting for my first cashback payment on an order placed on 21st February ( make that 100 days) I have tried to write via a claims ticket but HOW DO YOU DO THAT NOW? I have pressed and clicked just about every button possible and I have been going round in circles. Can someone explain the system to me as I can`t fathom things out.

I am a bit disappointed with Gardeing Direct as I have traded with them for more years than I can remember. The cashback tracks immediately, sometimes within minutes of the order, but this time my cashback seems to be stuck as the money I am owed should have (according to TCB) been paid at the beginning of April and and the beginning of May. I accept that at times we have to wait a short while for the cash to be available, but I feel they are lagging behind this year. Perhaps TCB can give them a nudge so that they remember that it is folk like me who place orders with them, and I don`t think that orders in the region of £150+ is a small customer to forget or neglect.

I bought plants from Gardening direct over 8 years ago, I know it was AT LEAST that long ago as it was at an old address. I am very careful who I provide personal info to, I am also very careful to tick the "don't sell my personal info and send me junk" box. 8 years on, I am still being plauged by sales calls from companies who have bought my information from marketting companies. When you track this back (it worries me when people call me and they know who I am and all about me - and I know nothing about them so I have investigated a few), it seems that loads of marketting companies have been buying and selling me to each other - and the source? Gardening Direct. After 8 years, they are STILL selling me to other companies who I have no connection with - for their own financial gain. They probably make more money from this than they did from the few plants I bought. What kind of "gardening" company would do that???? As you would expect, they have yet to respond to my enquiries, but I would not buy anything from them, if you tick the "no junk mail box" - how can you be sure what happens? If they sell your data, they can just say "you said we could" - how could you prove otherwise? It takes a LOT of time just to find out who sold the data in the first place (I went through 6 different companies to find out - it gets re-sold that much - several times I have hit dead ends as the companies are often slippery quasi legal outfits with no real business address etc, its only this last time I was able to actually get back to the source). Worst of all, some marketting companies have re-activated old records because they had an "update" of my details from gardening direct, this makes more "more valuable" and so they sell it on to even more companies. As a result, I get calls all the time trying to sell me things. Joy! I am gobsmacked this is legal, it certainly isn't ethical.

Ordered a garden vac/blower online. Two and a half weeks later, no blower or news, so called to check and was promised was with couriers and would be with me in 2 days at most. 3 days later, called again, was told on they'd look into it and call me back. End of next day and still not heard so I call back again to be told it was with the couriers and should be with me soon. I double check it does actually exist and is not on back order, to be told it has definitely been despatched and couriers will be in touch soon. Another 3 days go by so I call again and get a very helpful man who says it was never in stock, was put on order and might be with them in a week or so. Incompetence or plain lying through their teeth, and dreadful customer service. Wouldn't trust them.

Purchases arrived damaged and in a poor condition. Gave feedback to Gardening Direct and they refunded me without hesitation. I gather they have delivery handling problems, which they are trying to sort out. Unfortunately, I will not be usiung them again.

Very fast to pend (within 3hrs) Ordered plants Sunday and received Saturday. Plants were well packed and in very good conduction. (the best mail order plants i have received) Will use again.
