According to Currys' T&Cs a price match discount is acceptable when claiming cashback as the cashback will be calculated on the after-price-match price.Yet now Currys has declined £15 cashback citing their £4 price match discount as an unauthorised discount. Disgraceful.

Extremely disappointed as in the small print this merchant removes the VAT from the sale, this is not clearly visible on either sites and extremely misleading! Had I been aware of this I would not have made this purchase as without the correct cash back it made currys the more expensive retailer.

In my experience, obtaining cashback from this retailer is usually problematic. My latest purchase of a Chromebook laptop offering a significant 10% cashback failed to track requiring a claim to be submitted. Still waiting for the retailer to even respond some 5 months after the claim was submitted. This sadly seems to be a common experience with this retailer. Avoid purchasing from Currys unless the price without cashback is better than elsewhere.
