Slow and painful
I've used confused 4 times in the past year and all have had issues with getting the cashback. Either takes a long time to uplift or doesn't uplift until after a ticket is raised. Very slow. Years ago it was much more efficient and although the actual car and house insurance prices are good, ill be reluctant to use confused again because of this slow processing

Really bad at paying out. When they do it takes ages
I put two car insurances and one home insurance through last year. It’s taken almost a year and only one of the three paid out. Because it takes so long by the time it gets declined it is too late to claim the £20 reward option from confused instead of the Cashback.

Lie and no cash back!!
File a claim and they’ll tell you to wait for 3 months. 12 months down the line, open claim ticket disappeared and never had any cash back. It’s better to use other cash back sites. Totally wasted my time for false information.

9 months and still no payment
Purchased 2 car insurance policies in May 2024 and expected to get the advertised £35 cashback for each. Followed the rules after purchase and didn't claim the confused.com reward yet the purchases have never shown up on my topcashback account and I've never received the promised cashback. Submitted a missing cashback claim at the end of May and it's been sitting in a "Waiting for retailer" state, ever since. Would not recommend anyone use confused.com for cashback

Very LONG wait for the due Cashback!!
Confused.com took just under 5 MONTHS to actually make the Cashback payment!! This time the Cashback actually went through ok - finally (!!), whereas a Cashback payment claimed 2 years ago was DECLINED for NO justifiable reason. The DUE payment was only finally made through the professional actions of TopCashback, who made the payment! Confused.com needs to be carefully monitored, pressured to act professionally and actually make due Cashback payments speedily, like so many other companies manage this!

Over 6 months and still no cashback
Absolutely annoyed that I used COnfused.com to get car and home insurance, because I still do not have any cashback. I added cashback into the total insurance cost and that is the only reason I went via Confused. Next time will do it direct as it works out cheaper as a whole. Customer service says there is a delay, but why would it take over 6months?

Be Prepared to wait
I got a really good quote via Confused.com but it took more than 7 months to receive the promised cashback into my account and that was only after the intervention of TopCashback's customer service team and numerous messages and nudges.

I feel lied to by Topcashback
I only bought my car insurance through Topcashback via confused.com because of the attraction of the amount of cashback I would receive. So, I bought the car insurance via Topcashback who openly promoted this to me. As soon as I had completed the deal and now three weeks later, £0 pending and no sign of any cashback being tracked. I complained and was basically told to wait for over 6 months to a year to see if the cashback hits my account. This is disgusting treatment and a severely poor customer experience. At this stage, I'd strongly suggest you avoid Topcashback. I am gambling that I won't receive any support from this review. I feel so let down. What should have been a fun and exciting reward, has just left me frustrated and angry. Poor show Topcashback .

Border line scam at this point
These guys are not tracking anything and the support team refuses to even submit claims until 100 days. It could legitimately take you more than a year to see your cashback. And note how all car insurance brokers have been removed from topcashback so you are forced to use these middlemen. Seems like a monopoly at this point.

Twice They've Declined Cashback
I've used Confused.com twice through Top Cashback and twice this merchant has declined the cashback. You can't even lodge a claim against them, which to me proves they will decline cashback without consequence. I won't be using Confused.com again and will use one of the other comparision sites which do pay the cashback

Multiple policies bought in the same browser session will not be tracked or eligible for cashback. Each policy must be purchased in a new session via the TopCashback link on this page. 6. If you, or your insurer, cancel your policy before the 130 day validation period, then you will not be eligible to receive cashback. 7. Use of a promotional/voucher code not posted and approved by TopCashback. Mostly useless.
