Its been 6 months since i raised a claim over the cashback they paid out ( half of hat it should be) and it is not close to being resolved, im still waiting for First Utility to deal with the claims file that was sent to them back in November - poor show! I'm also still waiting for my smart meter to be installed after 9 months as they needed to get a part in stock! I would not recommend using FU to anyone at this point, the service is shocking!

Absolutely shocking, avoid! I chose to go with first utility as the cashback seemed a great incentive. Both myself and my mother in law moved at the same time so I did 2 transactions and should have received £125 cashback for both. I followed the guidance and took out the correct accounts. Neither tracked so I had to inform topcashback, now after 4 months I have had 2 payouts, 1 for £25 and 1 for £85, despite them both being the same kind of accounts. I have chased and chased but still got no further.

Terrible - they've been continually harassing me to get a "smart" meter. I'm fed up with the constant emails/letters/calls, some of which are from Siemens who make the meters - so much for not giving my details to other companies! On line chat yesterday was appalling as they told me that "all hoseholds have to have a smart meter by 2020" which is just not true.

Total con. Delayed my cashback for almost 6 months, paid only 50% of the cashback and then refused to pay the other 50%. If you are considering FirstUtility based on the cashback, if I was you I'd assume no cashback will come back and make the decision without taking cashback into account.

When I took first utility out the cash back amount was £70, it didn't go through so had put put in a dispute. To which three months to which I only received £40

Sadly this was not a good experience. This did not track Aug 2016 and I submitted a ticket a month later. A year later First Utility have declined to pay saying "Correct cashback paid". Rubbish - be careful.

I switched providers because of the cashback offer but First Utility declined it for some reason. They've also completely messed up my switch so I've been paying 2 companies for gas for 2 months with no end in sight. After a topcashback claim, I got some of the cashback but not all of it. When I spoke to FU, they denied any knowledge of topcashback and said it was nothing to do with them.

I do not recommend First Utility Cashback. I joined them in January 2017 and was expecting £100 cashback which has been refused. I am not impressed.

As an ex EDF customer, I regret doing this switch. Why? 1) Cashback was meant to be £100, not £50. Its a con. 2) EDF continued to bill me, and First Utility billed me too, at the same time. I just don't have the energy to sort it all out (I am quite disabled)

Awful. Didnt track took me ages to get hold of. Had to get loads of reference numbers i was never provided. In the end got a lower amount then origninally stated and then no response when questioned. DO NOT PURCHASE

This did not track even though I received an email to say it had. I then had to send several emails to topcashback and contact first utility to get inforation top cash back needed to process the claim. After months I have now received £40 cashback instead of the £60 advertised
