Neither of my transactions done on different days tracked so I had to raise a cliam which was promptly rejected by Mountain Warehouse Do not touch this merchant if you expect cashback!!!

Despite spending almost £150.00 on this merchant via this website they declined my claim for cash back. I spent the money in April 2014 and Mountain warehouse took until November 2014 to decline my claim even though I supplied the receipt number and did not return any of their goods.

purchased loads of camping kit for a scout camp in the summer. the cashback deal made their basket cheaper than rivals hence my decision to go with them and buy even more than planned. appalled to find that my cashback claim has been declined without any clear explanation. lodged a claim but silence. now tried going in to chase claim and told that the purchase was too long ago. clearly everyone has been stalling on my claim until the time limit expired.
be very wary. poor experience all round

I've purchased several times from this merchant always through topcashback and never had a problem, good rate and quick to track and payout. Their customer service is excellent too, on the occasions when I've had to return an item I've taken it to our local shop, (I say local but it's about 25 miles away but as I live in a village 25milies is local for me!) the staff are friendly and attentive and refunds are quick, back on your card same day, when payed by paypal back into your account same day. Their products are always high quality and a lot cheaper than some named brands. Overall excellent.

Although customer service was good and the shoes were good quality and reasonably priced, I am annoyed that on both my purchases the cashback didn't track at all, even though I did everything correctly and didn't use any discount codes. I sent a nudge and after 6 months had elapsed I sent a message, only to be told that the merchant had declined my claim saying 'the order was cancelled'! I can take a photo of all 3 pairs of shoes now, sitting in my kitchen and I am very angry that they have made this feeble excuse not to payout on 2 genuine and valid claims.

Ordered and received the goods very quickly/efficiently (collection in store) however no still cashback showing on my TCB account after 3 months (not even pending??? never mind confirmed or payable). Returned 1 items from the order but would hope to receive the difference). Raised a claim with TCB in Oct 2013 and sent a couple of nudges in Nov and Dec but nothing so far. If you expect cashback from MW then don't hold your breath. Others seem satisfied but my experience of getting cashback from MW has been poor.

The Cash Back was based on a lower amount than I had paid for the clothes, upon enquiring it looks like the cash back is given before VAT is added. Very quick delivery & immediate replacement, in store, for one shirt that was too small. Good quality gear & will use again, it just confused me when different purchase values, without VAT, were used to calculate the cashback!

Despite following the cookie advice from TCB I get the following "no dice" message:

We have recently heard back as regards to the status of your Missing CashBack Claim.
I’m afraid that the merchant has taken the decision to decline your missing commission claim, no information in helping to clarify as to why this decision has been reached has been provided but we would like to provide some possible reasons…
• The merchant could not prove that your queried transaction has been the result of a Top CashBack referral, and therefore is not eligible for a commission (or cashback) payment.
• The merchant does not feel that you have met their terms for qualifying for cashback.
• There may have been another entity involved prior to or during your transaction that your commission may have been awarded to, as they may have been marked as the referrer to this.
• The merchant is not happy with the validity of your transaction.
• The merchant believes that you have already received the correct amount of cashback in response to this transaction.
• The merchant may not have been able to locate your queried transaction, based on the information that you have supplied (especially that in which you have provided as your main ‘Order number’).
Whilst no reason has been communicated on this occasion, when a claim is declined there is invariably a solid reason for this.
We are sorry that we have not been able to recover anything for you on this occasion. I’m afraid that the simple nature of claims (in the way that the matter has had to come this far) means that the odds are always against us in getting anything recovered for you, and a lot of the time we are unsuccessful in doing so.
I hope that any transactions you go on to make in the future go a lot more smoothly for you.

I have made 3 purchased with Mountain Warehouse. All through TCB. The items bought are very good quality despite the small prices. The cashback appears very quickly and moves to confirmed promptly too. An excellent TCB percentage is offered. Returns are easy and their website is clear and informative. What a refreshing change. Some of the other big retailers/suppliers could learn from this. If my opinion changes I will submit another review.
