I book a lot of hotels through Hotels.com, mainly due to their own reward program and the cashback on here. The rates have definitely dropped considerably over the past year and I have had more than 3 occasions where the payment didn't register and they declined the missing payment. Otherwise they would have got 5 stars.

Had a few issues with Hotels.com, especially being a Hotels.com Rewards customer. The time which cashback is paid is very slow compared to other merchants and they often pay well below the rate advertised at the time of purchase.
