Canadian twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten, from Willowdale in Toronto, embarked on their career in fashion at the Parson’s School of Design in New York.

In 1992, they moved to Italy with the aim of creating their own brand. After collaborating with some of the country’s most celebrated fashion houses, they presented their first men’s collection under the label DSquared2 in 1995. Dean and Dan now divide their lives between Milan and London, while the DSquared2 collections are produced in Italy, establishing the brand’s motto of ‘Born in Canada, made in Italy’.
