I've taken out policies for home insurance, landlord insurance and car insurance. Despite doing everything by the book, all three cash backs were declined after waiting over 12 months. I would have rated them zero stars, but the system insists on at least 1 :-(

Purchased in august still waiting for cashback. Estimate was 12 weeks! Good deal but doesnt half take its time. Asked for topcashback support been advised to be patient. Avoid if just getting deals for cashback!

Disgusted with this company they declined my cash back when I paid for my home insurance with them in full I only opted for these due to the good cashback amount really disapointed

Took out the policy in August and it did not track. Same happened for car insurance in July and here we are in December and no cash back. Good job the insurance policy was best value regardless of cash back.

Agree with mm07. I did everything by the book, submitted home insurance policy details as requested, tracked promptly. But suddenly after few weeks transaction disappeared from account. After navigating inside found out that Direct line have declined the cashback with no reason whatsoever. Google them with word cashback, there are lots of similar reports. The worst part is all topcashback have said is 'on ice' and wait. No guarantee I will get it. No more direct line for me or my friends that's for sure.

Hey, I am sorry to hear your transaction was declined. Unfortunately people are more likely to post online if they have had a negative experience but I can assure you the majority of transactions made through our site do track and are paid as we would expect. It may be worth mentioning that cashback is only paid if an eligible transaction took place and we can be related back to it as being the referrer of the purchase. Great insurance company I've recommended them to three people and all 3 including me has had their cash back declined two month after cash back was down as pending really annoyed over this

Almost a year on and the cashback shows but is still not validated, let alone paid! Customer service dire as well - takes eternity to get to speak to anyone and difficult to cancel auto renew for a policy that cost £45 more than should have done!! Wouldn't touch Direct Line with a bargepole - be warned!

Had policy 12 months,paid all payments due on it.Still NO cashback so if you're considering taking out policy due to cashback you may get...Don't! Im still waiting and have been in touch numerous times with Topcashback to try and get it sorted.

It is now twelve months since I purchased my home insurance policy with Direct Line and I am still waiting for cash back to be confirmed. Second ticket sent to TCB Customer Services today. I have used a comparison site for this years home insurance, as this experience has completely put me off buying insurance now on TCB.

Bought April 13, all requested detail entered still waiting Jan 14. I don't think this will be paid. Beginning to wonder if they are waiting to see if I renew with them in April 14 before they pay. Guess what...............

Bought insurance in March 2013. Finally realised it was not tracking in Sept, and checked into it. Had to claim manually as bought before 24apr 2013. Topcashback claim that they are dealing with it but I am still waiting for £45 9months later... rubbish deal for customer.. Topcashback service has been awful to as they really don't seem to be bothered. Wont be using this site for cashback again after this is resolved as I wanted vouchers for Xmas shopping and doesn't look like we will get it.

I think this merchant just won't pay or is the slowest cashback provider I have ever come across. It's October now and my transaction was in February. Direct Line have shot themselves in the foot by pretending to give cashback; whilst not really caring about it. Really TopCashBack should do more to vet those that claim to offer cashback on their website. I won't be buying another policy from Directline next year, or perhaps ever.

Still haven't received my cashback after buying a policy in March, really not impressed at all. I would never use them again, this is the worst wait I have ever had from any merchant for cashback. Got Aviva, who are brilliant, to match my direct line quote after cashback so they lost me for my car insurance policy this month as was going to have to go with someone new just to get the price down, with cashback, until Aviva pricematched
