poor service and auto-renews without warning
Auto-renews without warning, impossible to cancel online. Have to pay each time you need to use them and poor service. Would not recommend even if it looks cheaper to start with.

Defaqto 5 Star
Before buying, I checked with Defaqto.com that the covermybreakdown policy I was buying really was 5 star rated. It was.
Now, some 4 and a half months since buying, I changed my car, the new car coming with free RAC cover for one year.
I emailed covermybreakdown to cancel my cover and ask for a refund on the unused months on the policy.
It turns out there is no refund outside the 14 day cooling off period.
Secondhand cars often come with free breakdown cover, something to remember if you might change your car during the lifetime of a breakdown policy.
Perhaps covermybreakdown could suspend an existing policy until it is needed on the new car.
