Great company who managed to half my renewal quote. Transaction on phone went ahead smooth and gave me a better deal than my current insurer with a lot more benefits. Very happy

Purchased car insurance last year when cashback was very high. TopCashBack had to chase them for me. Slow process, but I got the cashback many months later. BeWiser are pushy with their telephone communication.

This is how BeWiser works. You go through their quotation system and the give you a quote roughly double the market rate which you discard once the laughing has died down. Then they will ring you and ring you and ring you until you finally answer and then 'try to beat that quote' whereupon you get offered a better (but still not great) rate with breakdown cover and all that other stuff you don't really want. But then, I'd bet my life on, no Topcashback because you didn't complete the transaction online. This is not much more than a way of getting your data. I've got quotes off them for the last two years and you cannot complete it without giving them your phone number. They will literally ring you every couple of hours untl you speak to them after that. I finally relented when they woke me up on a Saturday morning at 9.00, 9.30, 10.15am.

Worst insurance I have ever seen, please don't waste your money on this insurance. Their terms and conditions are horrible anything you have to pay fees for everything, any changes you want to make you have to pay fees

Signed up, happy with the price, set everything up over the phone. Thought that was it, make my payments and happy days. Nope, wrong.... Expected the paperwork via post or email, it never arrived. But this was ok as i didnt really need it at the time. A few months later I tried to tax my car online, 'No Insurance Found' Called and was told they'd email my certificate asap, Nothing, called again and got nothing via email. Third ocasion (A week later, had to wait 48hrs each time for email) got my certificate, but the Registraion was incorrect. Called them again to get this sorted and new certificate, this only took 2 attempts to arrive by email. And now the policy has finished (thank god) I have had to ring them to cancel the 'automatic' renewal. At which time I asked for proof of NCB. You guessed it... It never came. 2 calls later, 1 promised returned call that never came either and an email from me. I got it and it says 'NIL' Another phone call to this joke of company and I was informed they do not give NCB on classic vechile policies. My advice stay very clear of this company, pay a little more and receive some real customer service.

AVOID BE WISER INSURANCE I was contacted by Be Wiser insurance and talked into taking out a policy with them. After 2 months Be Wiser contacted me to ask for more details from me. They said I had no NCD. I knew I had so I contacted my other insurers. After proving I had NCD they then decided to change their minds to say they couldn't mirror my NCD as I wasn't 35 years old. I feel like they have miss sold me insurance then refused to help me. Iv tried to contact them a number of times and they never answer or send a reply. I would never use them again and would advise everyone to AVOID BE WISER INSURANCE. The experience has cost me £23 in phone calls and £200 for a months temp insurance. They are the worst insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. They will take your money, then send you untold letters telling you they are going to cancel your policy if you do not contact them. When you contact them, they start telling you that you entered the wrong info on the comparison site and up the policy, at that point most people are trapped as they cannot afford to wait for the money to be returned. I had to go to the Financial Ombudsman Service to stop them from trying to raise my policy and even after that they try every other trick to get more money from you. Avoid at all costs, they are in my opinion a ripoff company, as my policy was raised from about £400 to almost £800 after I had paid in full, I also met someone else who is having the same problems with them.

Got a car insurance quote from the annoying opera singing comparison site, which lead to this co's site and having entered my details again (didn't transfer from comparison site) got another quote £50 dearer although still better than the next nearest (why, when the details were exactly the same?). Paid on line, money accepted, cover note issued by email. Great. Until the next morning when they phoned to confirm the details and informed me that named driver experience only counts if it is on a spouses or partners insurance and therefore wanted an additional £500 to insure me. That was one of the details entered on both the comparison site and on theirs. I told them that the new price was not acceptable and they promised me a full refund. 14 DAYS LATER AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR IT. I can't afford to insure my car until I get my refund so I haven't been able to work as I can't get there !!!!! This company is to be avoided at all costs. I will be suing for compensation.

Be Wise and never ever use this insurance company. I have an Irsih reg car trying my hardest to get my plates changed, but i needed them to send me a cert to say they were my insurer for the DVLA..week on week i was ringing asking for this document and for a proposal form..they said they sent it out i never recieved it.Then i got letter saying i had not sent back the proposal for and my insurance was going to be cancelled !!!!..they then sent me a cover letter saying 'please find enclosed proposal form'..but no proposal form or cert in the envelope.i kept a record of who is spoke to,dates i had phoned and demanded to speak to a manager last week who emailed me on every thing finally. However today they are telling me there was a an error on the prosal form with my date for passing my driving test (one i never gave them)and in order to change i need to pay extra £76 .this company have caused me nothing but stress and grief..i will never ever get insured with them again..i would nearly prefer to pay more and deal with an honest insurer !!!..or one that has a good customer service .I apologies if this is a long winded blog but i would not like anyone else to have this stress in their lives..things are hard enough without this kind of thing.thanks for reading :O)

I did an online quote last night around about midnight... By 9am I had two missed calls from them and two text messages from them saying I needed to call them 'urgently' I called and asked them to remove my number from their system and never to contact me again as i do not respond to sale marketing... Had another 3 text messages, 2 phone calls AND TWELVE EMAILS!!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID... DO NOT EVEN GET A QUOTE!!

I went through the quotation process only to find that the cheapest premium was almost double the quotation from comparethemarket! Even with cashback at £30 this still represents a massive difference. The unfortunate thing is that the policies include a few add-ons that I wouldn't want such as RAC breakdown cover (Roadside) etc, so this probably bumps the premiums up a lot. So I'll BeWiser and go back to Comparethemarket - dot com!

DO NOT USE this company. 6 months on and no cashback. BE WISER and go elsewhere. Not much help and no information from TCB either. Disillusioned and disappointed, not to mention £80 poorer.

AVOID this company. They quoted for the wrong vehicle, I notice when the policy docs are emailed through & when I call to amend I'm told it's going to cost £75 extra. As they were no longer competitive I rang round a few more companies & got a better deal but when I went back to cancel with Be wiser they charged £52.50 to cancel! BE WISE and do not use this company!!!!

I have now waited SIX MONTHS for payment and no joy. It tracked OK, but why does it take so long to pay out. Not a company I will be using again.

I am not to sure about this as tracked after two days and confirmed after a week, However that was four months ago and it is no two months overdue at becoming payable, TCB are on the case but again that was a month ago. So to sum up i think it's best not to rely on the payout from this company and next time perhaps "BE WISER !!"

In my opinion BE WISER is using Top Cash Back to advertise there product without intending to pay ANY cash back. I took there insurance on 07.10.2009 before completion I was haseled to phone them and advised the policy is £25 cheaper via phone. I did not mind paying the web price to get £75 back so I started the process of again, ignoring the hastel this time. Despite Top Cash Back taking up the case, Over 3 months later I recieved NOTHING. If the product is right fore you take the phone offer, at least you might recieve £25.

took out a policy based on the great cash back. DO NOT DO THE SAME!!!!! I paid for the insurance in one hit and suddenly as if by magic the cashback has turned to £0. Very unhappy and as yet no one has bothered to reply to the countless emails that I have sent. Don't bother wasting your time. They will cost you more than using good old fashioned common sense and shopping around on the internet. Stuck with them for a year. Oh joy!

BE WARE, BE WISE - AVOID. Poor customer service, once they have your money. I too was accused of making an error on their online quote form. I only found this out when I received my documents, even though I had put all my details in very carefully into their online quote form. I was informed that they did not have any problems with their system and that it was my mistake. I then found out due to my so called error I would be charged another £200 (yes this is correct!) on top of my premium. Did not agree, went through their online quote system again, making sure all details inputed very carefully(!) and found the same product for £45 more, not the £200 stated. Felt like they were making up the figures as they went along. All of this was within the 14 day cooling off period, in which they still wanted me to pay £52 for cancelling my policy within this time (which I am sure is not right) - ultimately I was pushed into a corner and paid the extra money as it was cheaper than cancelling. Also on top of all this the Cashback claim is lower than the advertised amount (although TCB are aware of this, nothing has been revised). I will not be taking out any other products with them.
