I took out my policy in October 2009 and finally received cash back in April 2011. Lots of hassle but don't give up.

Anyone else been fobbed off with the response below from TCB? No reason given for not being paid, and they're not prepared to follow it up. Looks like they rank with RBS when it comes to customer service! ------ Thanks for your post, As we understand, it has been many months since the initial submission of your missing commission claim. Unfortunately, we have not received notification that the merchant has resolved this in any way, and we do not feel that a resolution would be forthcoming if we were to re-submit this to the merchant. Whilst we have not received a decision either way, we do believe that the merchant has found a solid reason to not award cashback on this occasion, and unfortunately some merchants can be very steadfast in their initial decision. As we have not been advised of this reason, we do not have this information to pass over - but we would like to list some of the most common reasons at why this may happen... The merchant could not prove that your queried transaction has been the result of a Top CashBack referral, and therefore is not eligible for a commission (or cashback) payment. • The merchant does not feel that you have met their terms for qualifying for cashback • There may have been another entity involved prior to or during your transaction that your commission may have been awarded to, as they may have been marked as the referrer to this. • The merchant is not happy with the validity of your transaction • The merchant believes that you have already received the correct amount of cashback in response to this transaction. • The merchant may not have been able to locate your queried transaction, based on the information that you have supplied (especially that in which you have provided as your main ‘Order number’). We are very sorry about this experience, and hope that any transactions you go on to make in the future go a lot more smoothly for you. Kind regards, Top CashBack

Finally got paid £65 from RBS 18 months after taking out insurance. Contacted RBS direct who were no help at all and after many nudges and emails to topcashback I have finally been paid :) After this experience though and the unhelpfulness of RBS I will never buy any of their products again.

How to resolve: Call RBS and complain!!! I have called them today to complain that they are affiliated with topcash back and are promising cash back on policies and not paying, the department had no idea who topcash back where and said they would investigate and raise it as complaint and they are going to write to topcashback to see why customers are not reciving cashback, because they have no idea!!! So call and complain, you may get what your owed!!!!!!

Poor. Stuck at 'Waiting for Retailer' for months. Nudges have no effect. Has anyone ever received their promised cashback from RBS? They'll not be getting my business again come renewal time.

The RBS insurance on line engine is the same as Tesco.com who are introducers for RBS. The same quote through Tesco.com was £100 cheaper and can be got through TCB. No brainer really !

Rubbish - simply entice you in with high cashback promise and then decline it without providing a valid, specific reason.

I took out my policy in October 2009 and I am still waiting for payment despite several nudges and chasers. I have complained to TopCash Back as they continue to promote this supplier's product despite many many customer complaints.

Raised manual claim on 1.1.10, TBC submitted to merchant 21.5.10, heard nothing, disappointing.

Took out home insurance 16th Dec. 2009 - still showing as pending. Have sent nudges, enquiries etc. but just waiting on retailer - I just hope they pay out after nearly a 7 month wait. Takes too long which is ok if you are ok with that, but be prepared!

Very poor show, RBS! bought Home Insurance in November, had to submit a manual claim and go through the ON ICE procedure. TCB have now submitted a claim for me, but judging from other comments I doubt I'll get it. TCB, can you tell me why you continue to promote this merchant when they obviously have very poor customer commitment? Do not be tempted by high cashback offers, only choose RBS if they offer what you desire for the FULL price they expect from you.
