National Trust membership options
National Trust offer a range of membership types, so you can pick the right option to suit you and your family.
Two adults living at the same address can benefit from a joint membership, which is cheaper than buying two individual memberships. If you’re over 60 and have been a National Trust member for three consecutive years, you can enjoy a discount.
For children and young adults, there are junior memberships for under-17s (remember, under-fives go free) and young person memberships for 18-25s. The National Trust have two family memberships – one adult and two adults. With both of these memberships, all named children and grandchildren under 17 get free entry.
If you don’t want to commit to an annual pass, or you’re visiting the UK from abroad, a short-term membership is a great choice. Explorer passes can be purchased for one adult, two adults, or as a family pass, and are available for four, eight or 14 days.
A lifetime membership offers the most impactful way to support the National Trust, although they’re not the most budget-friendly option. If you want to enjoy the benefits of a National Trust membership for life and offer the organisation your lifelong support, then a lifetime membership might be the right choice for you.
Whichever option you go for (except lifetime passes), membership fees can be paid monthly or annually through direct debit. Your membership will automatically renew unless you let the National Trust know otherwise.
