• Company History

  The Dune story can be traced as far back as 1895 when, arriving in London from Lithuania, a shoemaker and his three sons set up a workshop in the Whitechapel area of the capital.

  Fast-forward 85 years and future Dune founder and executive chairman Daniel Rubin joined the family business. By 1985, Rubin had become one of the UK's leading importers of footwear and was distributing more than 10 million pairs a year for high street giants like Marks & Spencer and Next.

  The Dune brand itself was launched in 1992 and it was based in a concession on London's iconic Oxford Street. A year later and the first Dune store was opened on the King's Road, while the brand's first men's collection was launched in 1999. Dune went international in 2001 through stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while shoppers were given the chance to buy beautiful Dune shoes, handbags, purses, watches, gloves and more in 2005 with the launch of the website.

  The company tripled in size in 2009 thanks to the acquisition of the Shoe Studio brand portfolio, while 2013 saw them open stores in the Philippines and South Africa, and rebrand as Dune London. A dedicated Spanish website arrived in 2015, while stores have since opened in Switzerland, India, Vietnam and Serbia.

• Delivery

  Once you have decided what to buy, you can choose from various delivery and collection options.

  Standard delivery will see your order arrive within 2-5 working days of dispatch, while if you order before 5pm Monday-Thursday, you can take advantage of their next working day delivery service. With this service, orders placed before 5pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday, while if you order after 5pm on a Friday, you will receive your items on Tuesday, unless it is a Bank Holiday.

  Next working day delivery is not available to some locations (see website for details). Order by 5pm and you can opt to receive it the following day thanks to their Saturday delivery service, while delivery to the Scilly Isles and Channel Islands takes five working days.

  When you buy online, you can also have purchases sent to a local Collect+ store within 3-5 working days from dispatch with their standard service, which is free for orders over £50. Order by 5pm Monday-Friday and opt for the express service and your items will be available for collection the next working day (exclusions apply). Your chosen store will hold your parcel for 10 days before returning it back to Dune, who will issue a refund.
