Christmas Shopping: Personalise your Presents

Christmas Shopping: Personalise your Presents

Christmas is steadily approaching and if you’re anything like us, the panic will be setting in as you start to look for those perfect gifts. You want to get something personal, but on a tight budget and with only three weeks to go you’re not sure where to start. Well, worry not; we’ve sought out a few of the best personalised Christmas gifts from across the internet, so all you need to do is hit “Send”…

Word Art Clouds

These cute “word art” frames are the perfect gift for family members; they’re a great way to express your thanks and gratitude in a really personal way. The one we’ve found here is available from AliChappelUK on etsy for £35; do some shopping around and you may find some fantastic deals for different designs, colours and sizes.

The internet is home to thousands of artists working on commission and over the Christmas holidays many will offer fantastic sales. Why not take a picture of your intended recipient and send it off to an artist to have them immortalised in ink (or Wacom) – you could seek out a comic book-style artist or a realist to capture the kind of person the subject really is.

DIY Sharpie Cup

This tutorial from Big City Dreamer is a super quick and easy way to create something really special. You’ll need a little artistic talent – or a creative friend! – a plain mug, and a sharpie pen. All you need to do is draw your design onto the mug and then bake it for 30 minutes so that the ink bakes onto the ceramic. Make this as personal as you like – perhaps include your names, an in-joke, or a special Christmas message.

And finally… Christmas gift wrapping!

If all else fails, personalise the wrapping instead of the gift with this seriously lovely idea from One Good Thing by Jillee. All you’ll need is some brown paper and some pretty paper for gift tags and decoration to create a really traditional festive look that should put a smile on the face of whoever receives it. Pop a cosy scarf and a jar of hot chocolate in there for a fool proof last-minute Christmas gift!
