Aer Lingus Features

Travel Services

As well as flights, Aer Lingus can help you book holidays and other travel services.

You can arrange city breaks — with flights, accommodation and sometimes transfers included — to places like Prague and Lisbon, while they also offer five-star, sun, family and over-50s trips to destinations such as the Algarve, Majorca, Lanzarote and the Costa del Sol.

They can also arrange car hire through leading providers, including Budget, Hertz and Sixt, as well as airport parking, access to lounges while at the terminal, Heathrow Express tickets and travel insurance, while you can also pre-order meals and pay for priority boarding.

Fare Types

Whether you're travelling to Europe or booking transatlantic flights to North America, you'll find various fare types, from no-fuss options to flexible tickets.

For flights within Europe, their Advantage fares allow you to change the date and time of your flight up to two hours before departure without paying a fee, while they're also refundable. The convenient and great value Plus fare gives you one item of checked luggage, your choice of standard seat and free check-in options, while their Saver fare is the cheapest option and includes all the essentials, such as up to 10kg of cabin baggage and allocated seating.

Choose one of their Business fares when travelling to the USA and you can enjoy the ultimate flying experience. Make the most of lie-flat sleeper seats, free Wi-Fi, premium dining, an exclusive cabin and lounge access, while Business Flex provides greater flexibility.

Flex fares allow you to change the date and time of your flight up to two hours before departure without it costing you anything, while the Low fare will give you all of your essentials, like free food & drink and in-flight entertainment.

Price Lock

If you find a great fare but need to check dates with family, friends or work, you can lock the price for 24 hours for five Euros per person, per flight.

However, if you go on to confirm the booking within 24 hours, the Price Lock fee will be taken off the overall cost. Once you've selected and reserved your flights, you'll receive a booking reference by email. Once you're ready to pay the balance, within 24 hours, go to Manage Trip, enter your booking reference to access your reservation and complete the booking. You'll then be able to add checked baggage and seats.

AerClub

No matter if you're a regular or infrequent traveller, their AerClub loyalty programme will reward you whenever you fly with Aer Lingus. Join and you can start collecting straight away to put towards reward flights and tier benefits.

You'll collect Avios when you book Aer Lingus flights, as well as with their retail, travel and leisure partners. You can spend your Avios points on flights with Aer Lingus and other partner airlines, and gain access to their tiered programme.

You'll earn tier credits based on how regularly you take to the air and the more you earn, the further you advance through the four tiers (Green, Silver, Platinum and Concierge) — each of which offers a unique combination of travel benefits, including lounge access, priority check-in or boarding and bonus points. You'll collect three Avios points for every Euro spent on Aer Lingus flight bookings (excluding taxes, fees and charges).
