Sent them a iphone 4s which i had since new from my network, always looked after the device. Spotted them on a comparison site and sent the phone to them, PLEASE NOTE AT MY COST as they do not offer free postage unlike most of the other recyclers do. They then tell me that the front and back of the phone is fake and they had reduced the offer by half, This is clearly a scam to the effect they offer high prices then make up reasons to pay less. They then wanted me to pay for the privilege of sending my item back. I threatened them with negative reviews and they said they would send it back free of charge in the hope i think that I would not write my experiences of what they did. Anyway I waited until i got my phone back before writing this review. I now do a search for more reviews and it seems it is common practice for RPC Recycle to use this tactic. My advise don't use them and be very very careful when looking on comparison sites as the highest payers are normally the ones who make up reasons to reduce the money offered. Stick to the well known recyclers who may offer less but pay the the price as advertised.

Extremely dissatisfied with RPC Recycle. Phone was in perfect condition having had case and screen protector from new. Company claim phone was "scratched and dented, offering 70% of original quote. Reluctantly accepted because no doubt the phone would have been scratched and dented on return. They've got you either way! So, beware of this mercahnt. Personally I will never use them again!

RPC Recycle offered me £185 for my iPad2. It's in mint condition due to being kept in a smart case other than a small scuff mark on the top right corner. They were prompt in advising they'd received it and processing the order however only offered me £90 due to that small scuff. DEFINITELY not worth reducing my offer by more than 50%. I have asked for my iPad to be returned & having to pay an Admin fee for them to do so!!

used this company to recycle my iphone 5, i had CEX check my phone and they had offeredmy £205 but this this was more £215 i sent it here instead. Wish i had not bothered as they said the phone was damaged and the screen had a light chip in it which i had never noticed. phoned up and compained and they are sending me the phone back to today free of charge. I would never use this company again, i sold my IPad to Fonebank which had a dodgy button and scracthes on the bottom of it and they gave me the full value even through it was in rougher shape then this phone.

I found RPC Recycle on Money Saving Expert and went with them due to the fact that they offered the best amount of cashback for my old iPhone 4s. I sent them my phone to be checked (and had to pay for the postage)but they found loads of apparent 'issues' with it so only offered me a 3rd of the quoted price. I asked for my phone back and then had to pay a £3 charge! I have since sent the phone to Mazuma Mobile who found NO faults and paid the full amount quoted the same day! Will never contemplate using them again.

Avoid these people unless you plan to send a new mobile for recycle. The quote provided is for a new mobile to be recycled. If they find any signs of usage, you will a lot lesser than the quote.

I selected this company to recycle my iphone 4s as they quoted the best rate - £210. Paid £7 to send the phone to them and also sent the cover as I thought this would give extra protection. When they received it they offered me £150 and cited excessive wear and tear from their Ts & Cs as the reason. If you look at the T&Cs things listed under this section include major damage like missing buttons and camera not working. My phone was in full working order but they said it was scratched. I told them to return it which they did minus the cover (for a further £3)! I could see no scratches on it whatsoever. I have since sold it on Gumtree for £200 to a man who inspected it thoroughly and said it was in great condition. RPC clearly use this 'excessive wear and tear' clause as a get-out and never intend to pay the figure they originally quote. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Have to say extremely disappointed. Often heard about these sorts of Company give you a price then knock it down once they receive the item. Sent an immaculate iphone 4 £125 offered - great! Once received they claim there are scratches on the front and back - it's been in a case so there may be very slight marks but when all said and done it is a second hand phone so now only offering £99. I don't have to accept this but having spent the money on 1st class recorded delivery and they will charge a £3 handling fee to return is it worth it?? I guess this is what they bank on - I thought this was an easy option but now wish I'd sold on ebay!

Well have sent a few mobiles for recycling and picked this company due to the reviews on some of the sites. How wrong I was. The phone should have been worth £145 but they only offered £101 as they said the screen was badly scratched, the silver round the sides was scratched and the back was badly scratched. The phone was a Samsung galaxy note and had always had a case on the back. It did have some light and I mean light wear and tear marks but nothing other than what you would expect on a used phone. If you want the phone returning its another £3. I rang them up and was told they could offer £114 and that was their top offer, he did admit there wasn't any scratches on the back. I did accept that offer but only as they had me over a barrel, by the time I paid £3 to have it returned and the original postage was £7 plus any new postage to send it somewhere else it was adding up. So my lesson is do not use this company, I have used many others in the past and never had this problem.

Have to agree with the last 4 comments. This company is a joke. My phone was in pristine conditon so I was more than a little surprised to get the email indicating they had revised their offerdue to " scratches on the face " As it costs to get the phone back I like many others no doubt just accept their offer as cannot be bothered with the hassle. What do they want new boxed phones? If you check the testimionials page on their website every one praises them to the hilt. Hand picked obviously. I left some seriously negative feedback but no doubt it will be filtered and not published. In the future I would rather go to a company that offers slightly less as I think there is more chance of getting what is on offer. It is easy to beat the opposition with the highest offer but if they have absolutely no intention of paying it out then judge for yourself RPC Really Poor Company

AVOID THIS COMPANY! I Was quoted 220 for my blackberry z10, only a couple of months old and in perfect working order. They reduced the value after inspection by 40 quid! Due to.. yes u guessed it... light scratches on the screen, which might I add still had the screen protector on it. This company is an absolute joke, its now costing me to get my phone posted back and if u do try and fight it by emailing them the emails are now failing and redirecting back into your inbox. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Don't bother with these jokers. Firstly they offer slightly more than other companies. Then when they received my phone they claimed it had slight marks on the edge (where I hadn't taken a photo of it - just front & rear) & revalued it at £10+ less. Phone was mint & had been in a gel case since new & was only a few weeks old. Other customers have had same encounters - Google mobile trade in review sites. They also sent out incorrect postage labels was supposed to be Freepost but failed with that (I should of known then) One week after receiving my phone got email saying hadn't been valued due to volume of handsets received! Also, if you're not happy with their revalue it'll cost you £3 to get it back. Once they clear your phone for payment they say it'll take 3 to 5 days to show in you're account -Mine took 3 days. No I would not ever reuse or recommend them. Haven't received my cashback & don't expect to. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Would recommend caution to anyone thinking of using RPC Recycle. While they do quote very good prices for phones they are very keen and adept at deducting from this figure due to the most minor infractions. For example a phone in excellent condition with a clear screen may lose 20% due to a minor chip on the casing. RPC also encourage users to send phones by recorded delivery which can cost £3-£5 and then if you don't agree with their new offer, they'll charge you £3 to return the phone. Overall a very dubious experience that favours the buyer completely and leaves a sour taste.

Offered best price, but when they got the phone said it was damaged and reduced the price they offered. The phone was pretty much immaculate, but they would charge me to return the phone to me. Ended up accepting the offer but I won't use them again. This is the first time I have had trouble with recycling a phone and the first time I have used rpc recycle. I won't be using them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I have used three different phone recycling companies to date. The others where absolutley brillant. These muppets where useless. Took my phone said they had paid but the payment never reached me. They have completely ignored my queries to find out what is going on. Avoid at all costs
