We bought the Premium policy and unfortunately our household had an escape of water incident 8 months ago. Amazingly, the Insurers are still procrastinating on a settlement even though all documental evidence has been provided. An in-house surveyor was sent 2 months after the occurrence, an Independent Surveyor sent 7 months thereafter and now the Financial Ombudsman is involved with an Adjudicator. This was our first ever claim with any Insurer and the way our case is being treated is deplorable and scandalous. As long as 'Trinity Claims' remains the company that Policy Expert uses as Claims Handlers, we would definitely not recommend this retailer. They are the most obnoxious and unprofessional bunch of peeps we have ever come across. Saving a few pounds on this Insurance broker results in a false economy given the amount of distress, loss of earnings and energy we've dispensed since the start of our claim. You have been warned! Regarding cashback, this was untracked and subsequently denied....

Didn't pay cashback, despite the visit date and time being on topcashback. Didn't use a code or anything like that, and cleared cookies before purchasing.

Caashback tracked immediately then 6 months later, after a declined claim, they turn round and say TCB wasn't the referring website so I won't get £80. So how come it tracked then if TCB didn't refer it??!! Don't expect any cashabck.

Absolute con - The 'quote' was about £45 more expensive when clicking through from TCB than it was doing it directly. Chose not to bother - don't like deceitful companys.

Cashback denied. After 9 months they simply stated that it didn't meet their terms and conditions. No other explanation at all. I would be very cautious about expecting cashback from Policy Expert.

Avoid, after 1yr 2mths of chasing for a valid cashback claim for £70 back, it was declined. I gave them all the correct information and after load of messages through TCB nothing. DEFINATELY AVOID.

Very dissapointed with Policy Expert, claim has been declined after a very long wait as the network has not identified ourselves as the last referral to the merchant’s site and this transaction. Email from tcb "if we have not been identified as the last referral, the merchant does not pay the cashback to ourselves so we are unable to pass this back onto you. Unfortunately, as this is the nature of cashback, we cannot guarantee that you will always be successful in retrieving your cashback, although we do strive to recover as many as the missing claims as we can." BEWARE...You have been warned!

Just got message saying Cashback declined due to me visiting comparison site, Show me the proof of this statement or pay up the £80 owing. Terrible company, stay well clear. They dangle a "carrot" and then take it away once you are a customer.

After 7 months, Was declined £70 cashback, with the one line "Did not meet Terms and Conditions". I have re-read the T&C's I supposedly did not meet, and I did meet them 100%. Policy Home Expert are using high cashback offers as an enticement for you to take out a policy and will not honour the offer after you have. I will be taking this further. In the meantime, avoid. I will certainly not be renewing, or taking out another policy with them, and will be urging others to do likewise.

Cashback sounds fantastic but be very wary before you buy. Bought this insurance last January, it took a year before I received the cashback - and this after many Topcashback interventions, my letters to company, my many phonecalls to their customer service who made so many excuses - they even said they'd authorised Topcashback to pay when they hadn't. If you want stress then buy.

I would have given them NO STARS, if it had been an option as this 'lot' to be avoided at all costs and it will cost you! As many others have reported, waited 3 months and still no cashback! Submitted a claim and they can't trace transaction even though I rang their 'special' TopCashBack tel. no. and followed their instructions to the letter. In my view, this is tantamount to a confidence trick as I wouldn't have selected their insurance policy in the first place without the associated cashback! As normal TopCashBack customer support were great in chasing my claim but I'll repeat avoid this so called 'deal'!

Hey, I am sorry to hear that. Normally a merchant and their network will only check through transactions that have been recorded as coming through a referrer and if this is not the case the transaction won’t be found I am afraid. There can be many reasons for this and we do urge members to keep an eye on the merchant notes and terms and conditions as this should help in reducing the chance of this happening. Taken out two policies with Policy Expert and not been paid cashback for either. TCB have not been helpful in dealing with this over the last TWO years. Very disappointed:(

Hey, I can see we are waiting for the cashback network and the merchant to get back to us with information about whether or not we are eligible for this cashback. Sometimes more investigations are needed than normal which can affect the resolution time frame but our team will help as much as they can in getting a resolution as soon as possible. Don't trust this merchant as, once you've purchased your Buildings & Contents insurance policy from them, they will decline your cashback for no valid reason at all!!

Hey, I can see your transaction was declined but you didn’t lodge a claim for this. Without lodging a claim we are unable to query this further and get to the bottom of the declined transaction.
