TopCashback members who have written a review of their experience have given Marriott Hotels an overall rating of three stars. Some of the positives mentioned include the fact they offer a good choice of great hotels and the excellent service provided by staff, with one customer saying they “would recommend this hotel chain to anyone, anywhere in the world”.

Some of the feedback left also makes reference to the fact that the menber's cashback tracked immediately or was paid out swiftly, with one person saying it was the “fastest payout I have ever had. Paid within days”.

Marriott.co.uk also has a three-star rating on Trustpilot, with the four and five-star feedback highlighting the fact the hotel the customer stayed in was in a great location or the staff were very friendly, with one reviewer impressed with the fact that a lady on the phone had spent an hour helping them to book their dream trip to Australia. One regular Marriott customer, meanwhile, describes how they receive a “really great service every time”.

Marriott does what it says it will, but I found that the customer service was poor. I ordered rooms with bed& breakfast, and then we were charged £17.50 each for breakfast; it took a lot of emailing and complaining to set this right. The rooms are fine, nothing special, but I owuld be wary of using them again, and would urge people to keep their paper trails on them when arriving at the hotel!

My experience of the stay at Marriot hotel was very good. However I have had to chase up the cashback which I have still not been credited with through TCB, and wait 2 months so far which is a hassle I could do without!!

Cashback finally seems to be happening. I put in a manual claim so long ago that I'd forgotten about it. It's not my oldest claim though - they don't pay out every time.

Correct amount for one of my transactions has now appeared in the 'pending' column, along with a mystery zero in the 'confirmed' column. Still waiting on a second claim. Confused! Hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable and friendly, but fixed rate breakfast is very overpriced unless you like to eat loads.

have stayed with them twice in the past 2 months. spent a lot of money, but no cashback! have made manual claims but nothing has happened. so, don't count on the cashback to make your stay any cheaper!

Almost never get cashback. It sometimes doesn't track and have to chase. But most of the times, according to Topcashback, it is rejected by Marriott and they don't get the commission to pass on. Coincidence or not this seems to happen when the cashback to pay is higher. What's the point...

Be careful. I was expecting £20.44 but Marriott only paid £8.78. On paying for the rooms Marriott web site asks you to sign up for their members scheme. It would not let me proceed without joining. I noticed there is a lower rate for members. Lodged a complaint - still waiting.

Dissapointed. Booked 5 nights in Marriot hotels but cashback was never paid. First claim has been denied. I just file a second claim but not extremely hopeful. Would not recommend them for cashback.

Very disappointed. Followed the rules to the letter when booking via TopCashBack, but (more than a year later) Marriott finally responded to my missing payment claim and declined it for unspecified reasons.

Rubbish - if you book any special offer on Marriott's website you get nothing back in cashback - seems Marriott will do anything not to pay out - I won't be using again

Rubbish, cashback didn't track and then Marriott come back and say that the rate I booked wasn't commissionable - even though I booked a standard rate - this has happened often with Marriott!

Merchant wouldn't pay out, saying another site had been involved. It definitely hadn't. I think they're just trying to get out of paying out. Very unhappy. Will not use them again.

As per most reviews before me, I am experiencing a negative trajectory. Who can recommend when and to whom I should start complaining? It's 3 weeks since I stayed, it's been 'confirmed' this week, but still tracking at £0.00. All replies appreciated!

Marriot never paid . topcash have tried for 2 years to push through claim but never managed . no idea why they wouldnt pay - just refused . I wont be using them again!

Well done TopCashback - my transaction initially tracked at zero, but when I raised a complaint Marriott finally paid cashback. This took three months, but it did actually work in the end! My actual hotel stay near Edinburgh Airport was fine, apart from the outrageously high restaurant and bar prices.

Sad to say very bad service with regard to Marriott hotels cashback. I’m still waiting to hear something from a transaction NEARLY a year ago. Shame they don’t live up to their very high standards with cash back as they do with their hotels. Even made a complaint to Marriott itself about its participation in this scheme, was bounced from the UK to US and back to UK and then presented back with some gibberish, that they don’t have to pay out (obviously) and basically said its all topcashback.co.uk’s fault, and had nothing to do with them!!!. Great-super-fantastic hotels, poor customer service, atrocious cash back payments. Should they really be participating in a scheme where for the majority of the time they have NO intention of making cashback payments? Top CashBack with the amount of people who get no where with this merchant, isn’t it about time they were actually removed to 0% cashback? If you, like me enjoy the Marriott experience at hotels then obviously go ahead and book, but forget any cashback from them!!

Agree with other comments - this cashback offer is for show only. I have had over a dozen stays at Marriott. None of them resulted in any cash back through TopCashBack.

I Think topcashback should remove Marriott from the listing, as with other users having to chase them up as my most recent visit has tracked at Zero. - What a waste of time..
