Been waiting scince August 09 for cash back to even show. sent a nudge 1 month ago and still no sign of cashback. Not TCB fault. Just purchased cover with AA and tracked in one day. Hastings could learn a thing or two from them.
Now sent another couple of nudges and no sign of cash back. Only buy from if they are the cheapest without cash back factored in.

...all worked fine for me...took out car insurance 2nd sep.tracked next day.confirmed end oct and became payable 2nd dec. fuel vouchers also came through early dec.never wanted mot voucher so cannot comment. after reading some of the comments in sep/oct i did'nt expect any cashback but everything went through ok.so i have to recommend hastings after this transaction.

paid for in early oct, cashback suddenly payable this week (Dec) suprised but pleased! Still waiting for petrol voucher and MOT voucher; no ideas when that will arrive. At least got the cashback - its gone up now according to screen...oh well!

Tracked fairly quickly, took about 2 months to confirm, but became payable within a few weeks of confirmation. Money in account in less than 3 months. Also got MOT vouchers thru as well. Cheapest quote and 50 cashback. No problems.

hi took out policy end aug to begin mid sept due to the offers involved it tracked overnight and became payable today approx 3 mths didnt get half price mot voucher even though i chased them about it never mind got the 30 petrol vouchers and as said by previous people its a pollava but IF I GET IT REFUNDED i will have had approx £80 back on a £230 car insurance policy with a major insurer with ptotected no claims fully comp and legal cover be PATIENT remember some people expect miracles and would cancel when miracles happen.HASTINGS ARE IN BUISNESS TO MAKE MONEY AND TO PAY MY ACCIDENT CLAIM IF I HAVE ONE THATS WHY I WENT TO HASTINGS MAINLY A LARGE RENOWNED COMPANY AS OPPOSED TO sillybilly insurance etc who might be fly by nights

Didn't track automatically so had to raise a manual claim. This was handled pretty quickly, but it still took just under four months for the cashback to become payable. However, it is now, and it was a great cashback rate!

I got my cashback tracked very quickly, and was payable after 3 months. happy with that.
however, the 30 pound fuel voucher is pretty bad. i had to call 3 timesbefore they sent me the vouchers and they are TERRIBLE!!
it would seem that you just get a voucher to present to the petrol station and get 30 quid taken off? NO!!!
you are sent 3 x 10 pound vouchers
You are required to follow very strict guidlines and send these vouchers (one PER MONTH) along with a fuel reciept (MIN £10) and then wait 28 days PER voucher for your claim to be sent to you via check
NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!
pathetic
cashback is pretty good though :)

Very slow at becoming confirmed and becoming payable.
But, it did become payable in the end and I successfully claimed my cashback.
Bought insurance end of August and got cashback beginning of December.

Brilliant! Took out car insurance around 20 September and although it says on the Hastings page it will take at least 3 months to become payable, it just went payable today, after just over 2 months! The mot voucher came by email last week, which might be why some people think they didn't get an mot voucher - if it just goes into your junk mail and you're not looking out for it it may be deleted. The £30 petrol vouchers also turned up today (in the post) but it's not as straightforward an offer as it might appear - they don't give you a discount at the till, you have to collect petrol receipts from 3 consecutive months then send them off with a form within a set time to get a £30 cheque back. Bit of a hassle and means that despite taking the policy out in Sept, the soonest I can get the £30 off fuel is by sending the receipts in the first fortnight of March and then waiting for a cheque, so it'll be at least 6 months from the policy start! Otherwise, good experience - fairly competitive quote and with the cashback from here plus extra £30 some time next year, made it the cheapest by far for me.

The cashback appeared almost immediately, and although I waited up to three months to be able to claim back the payment the cashback eventually became payable and I received payment. Thanks. I would recommend Hastings.
