Was offered £21 cash back with them but it didn't 'trigger' on my page. Disappointed. Also had a lot of trouble with them regarding my insurance. Wanted me to sent my licences, which I did. Then they claimed they hadn't received them which they blatantly did and said they would cancel my policy within 7 days. Luckily when I emailed them again they found my licence so that's sorted but they're not a company I'm happy to be with and won't be sticking with them next time.

Sent licence within timescale- cancelled my insurance without notifying me- when I got through to them- 37 minutes I was on at over £1.09 per minute they told me my email address didn't match there computer and therefor my insurance was cancelled and charging me £75.00 on top!!!!

My payment was tracked and £60.60 cash back confirmed then for no reason it went to 0.00 and it wasn't paid :( sent message to topcashback waiting for their response!!

This is one insurance company that I will NEVER return to. Customer service stinks, to speak to someone is very expensive and emails verge on being rude. I had to send in documents over 5 times and was threatened with having my insurance withdrawn which would then make it more expensive to get, if I didn't send the documents in. This was after they had been send 3 times, via email, fax and post.
Cashback came through eventually, but £200 cashback would not entice me back to e-car, e-van (yep, we had trouble there too so should have learned the lesson) or e anything!

Bought car insurance on 27 feb 12. Didn't track for 3 weeks. Made a query, it immediately tracked and was payable by the 16 april. All I can say is I'm very happy.

Customer service is horrendous. Tried to cancel policy but different employees send repeated emails trying to claim THEY want to cancel, or didn't specify what time I wanted it cancelling. etc.etc.
Nightmare experience, awaiting to find out if they're gonna try to charge me

ecar quoted me £423 for my policy, then asked me to send license & proofof NCD to them which I did, I had lost my NCD & sent a letter with renewal clearly stating this. They refunded me £51. I e-mailed them and said you have given me £51 back because you have discounted my NCB when I have lost my NCB by knocking a wall down claim value £945, I informed them of this a 2nd time in an e-mail. They e-mailed me back that I had not disclosed the loss of my NCB my insurance premium would be rising by £511 and they wanted it in 7-days. I have cancelled the policy losing £100,s informed the Financial Services Ombudsman, Trading Standards, my credit card company and reporting for breaching the "Supplyof Good Act 1982" and contacting "Watchdog" I ask everyone to take these measures. I also contacted "confused.com" and told them they had a fraudulent company operating under their name. EVERYONE PLEASE DO THE SAME!!!!!!

online quotes are almost impossible as error codes cannot be dealt with. FAQs are unhelpful and the contact us is way too expensive. Doesn't bode well for making a claim if getting a quote is so very difficult!

Cash back was good and received after some months, service from insurer ok but I never needed to make a claim. If you do need to make a claim you will need to do it by phone and it will be a high premium rate phone number that you will be required to use! this will cost you quite a few quid its a rip off.
Always check with your insurer if they use premium rate phone numbers if they do dont insure with them and complain.

I took out my policy in August 2011, I looked at the end of October after forgetting about it to be honest. I had £60 waiting for me thats being paid into my account today.
Would definitely use them again, well done TopCashBack.

Awful company, stay well away! I took out a new car insurance policy, had loads of hassle sending in my license and no claims proof and then they cancelled my policy in error! didn't notify me for 4 days so was driving without insurance and then they wanted me to take out a new policy with them as they could not reinstate my policy themselves... this would mean having to pay a new deposit etc! hasten to add I went somewhere else.... never again!

Quite possibly the most difficult company to deal with. I never received my certificate of motor insurance and they refused to cancel my policy until I had returned it!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!

I had no problems at all, my car insurance was much cheaper with ecar, and the cashback was a great bonus and just as promised £60.60 well worth waiting for, thank you cashback and ecar, very satisfied x x

I rarely write any of these reviews, but in this case I would strongly urge you to do some research on this company before you try and take out any insurance with them. Certainly won't be dealing with them again!
No stars, as they don't even warrant one IMHO.

Awful customer care, rip off with 0900 number for customer contact. They like causing confusion so that the expensive 0900 number is dialled. Cancellation charge is 75 pounds. Poor experience and will not buy again.

Full marks to 'topcashback' and 'eCar'. I was in a spot (which sometimes happens!) - borrowed a car from family member - Kwik Fit wanted to charge in excess of £75 for a 3 day temporary change, plus £25 admin fee - a permanant change was going to be even more and the car would have to be re-registered in my name! I didn't have time (nor was I stupid enough!). These guys (eCar) offered a solution for around £10 a day (in my case) and the service was excellent for what I needed. No nuisance sales/marketing calls or emails etc after the event - all done online in 5 mins. Very impressed and will definately refer and use again myself.
