Summer is in full swing, and we’ve decided to celebrate in style, with another Sweet Treats game for our loyal members.

Following the success of the return of TopCashback Sweet Treats in March 2025, it’s only right that we celebrate the summer by playing the game again.

We all deserve a little sweet treat once in a while, and our members deserve the sweetest treat of all (although we’ll admit, we may be a little biased).

Whether you’re completely new to the game or a total Sweet Treats pro, we’ve got everything you need to know.

What is Sweet Treats, and when can I play?

Sweet Treats is TopCashback’s treasure hunt-style game. While the game is running, there will be flying hummingbirds waiting to be found on pages all over the TopCashback website.

These hummingbirds contain prizes for our members to win. We have a whopping £15,000 in prizes to give away.

Sweet Treats will be running from Monday, July 28th, 2025 (10:00) until Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 (16:00).

What prizes are up for grabs in this game?

Prizes for Summer Treats range from 10p all the way up to £100 cashback, depending on which Sweet Treats you find.

The more hummingbirds you click on, the higher your chances of filling up your prize board with treats.

And it’s not just Instant Win prizes you can win. Every time you find a hummingbird, you’ll earn an entry into our prize draw.

One lucky player will win the jackpot, which is an incredible £1,000 in cash.

How can I play the next TopCashback Sweet Treats game?

To play Sweet Treats, you’ll need to be signed up to TopCashback and logged into your account.

Between July 28th and August 6th, you’ll be able to hunt down hummingbirds around the TopCashback site. Once you spot a hummingbird, just click on it (be careful – they can be a little flighty!).

The hummingbird will then reveal your prize. This could be an Instant Win prize for your personal prize board or an entry into our mega prize draw.

Make sure you check the TopCashback site (or our handy How to Play Sweet Treats Money Guide) each day for the daily clue, which will give you a hint to find the hummingbirds. There are also random hummingbirds flying on different pages of the site, so the more pages you click on, the higher your chance of finding them!

Important things to remember

Now we’re down to the really fine details…

If you guess the answer to the daily clue correctly, you will be guaranteed to find a hummingbird on that page. If you can’t find one, double-check you’re looking on the right page!

You don't need to put the answer to the clue anywhere; we're just giving you a nudge in the right direction.

Don’t worry if you miss a day – you can go back and collect the birds you’ve missed. We post the daily clues on our Sweet Treats Money Guide and our Facebook page.

Prizes are evenly distributed throughout the game, so you have a chance to win prizes each day. There’s no strategy to win, but the more pages you click on, the higher your chances of finding a bird will be.

There are plenty of prizes to be won whenever you play, including on the last day.

The game is randomised for everyone, so if you find a bird on a particular page, this doesn’t mean everyone else will. The only hummingbird every player is guaranteed to find is on the page hinted at in the daily clue.

Bonus Sweet Treats top tips

If you don’t find a bird on a retailer one day, try again after three days. While your game board won’t ever reset, the bird locations will refresh after three days, so you may have a chance of finding a bird if you wait a little while.

Show off your game board progress by sharing it on Facebook and X to bag some extra entries to the prize draw. You can do this once on Facebook and once on X, and get five extra entries for each.

So, in effect, they have different levels of "fair"

As one other member said - the game should have been checked to make sure it was fit to run before they launched it. Have no idea how they can justify not paying out.

Davy_B31 July 2025, 17:55 I knew as soon as I "won" a £10 prize that something wasn't right, then when I "won" a £20 prize and a £5 prize in the space of 5 minutes that something definitely wasn't right.

Yet TC kept the game open for over 2 full days before removing it. Why wasn't someone monitoring the game and seeing very early on that the prizes being "awarded" were far higher than the prize fund?

It should have been removed early on Monday, and the prizes honoured to the few people who won them up to then. Instead they kept the game going with probably thousands of people winning £30+.

So I shall not be annoyed as I knew I would never get my £36.80. Why would I when the most I've ever won is 30p?

So a huge fail for TC for taking their eye totally off the ball in letting it go on for so long, and while it's understandable that it isn't feasible to pay out what is probably many multiples of the total prize pot, please can you have a few more genuine winners over £1?

For the moment I shall put my 20p winnings from this week into my Christmas fund.

Also, to people spending hours and hours or even days on this, really you need to get a life!

Eustie31 July 2025, 17:19 Hours and hours, all symbols found and I was soo happy. Went out for dinner after believing my luck was changing. I still carried on finding entry tickets even after I’d done the lot. I don’t do Facebook so only found out about the ‘glitch’ by searching here. I have got screenshots and I think there should be compensation as I’d fulfilled the search way before they stopped the game.

It's your cock up and fairness would be to pay out, start the new game with the proviso that those of us who have already won can't play - to give others a chance. And tell anyone who has won already and chooses to play the new game that they will not be paid out on any prizes won on the new game!

Unfortunately, we’ve identified an issue with the game’s interface that was incorrectly displaying up to 75 times the intended value of prizes.

While we know some members may have welcomed the unexpected prize values, the issue makes it impossible to keep the game fair and consistent for everyone.

We can only apologise as this isn’t a problem that we can find a perfect solution for, and trust us, we have tried! We just aren’t able to award everyone the amount of prizes displayed while keeping the current game running fairly.

Fairness is something we take seriously. We believe in always doing the right and fair thing for our members, our business, and our team.

We always consider our members first, and we love saving you money. On this occasion, we also need to make a decision that protects the integrity of the game and allows us to invest in future games and improvements.

We understand this may be disappointing if you were shown or were expecting a higher-value prize, and we truly appreciate that. But to protect the fairness of the game for all members, and to ensure future rounds are played on a level playing field, we’ve made the difficult decision to reset the game and start fresh on Monday.

All affected members have been notified via a notice on their homepage. We’ve also included a questions section below to answer any questions you may have.

As a gesture of an apology, when the game relaunches on Monday we will be doubling the prize pot!

We will be increasing the number of prizes per day from 5,974 to 8,699. And an additional 1,000 prizes over the value of £1 including 88 more £100 prizes. This means more people will be able to win bigger prizes!

The fact that the prize fund is limited to £15,000 means they probably won't be able to pay out everyone who has "won" due to a glitch if totals would go above that amount. Also winning due to a glitch might be classed as unfair advantage and could easily be covered in their Ts&Cs as mitigating factor in liability such as cancellation of the competition/prize. I am not a lawyer but common sense approach is what I use :)

Only 50p showing in my earnings so far but I’ve now got all the sunglasses and so win £20 too. Got to say though I’ve spent ages online so it had better pay. It’s about time I won something as only ever had pennies on previous times

TCB is going to be bankrupt at this rate!

Just pick any retailer for example Pets at home and then what I usually do is click on each one in that category. You put in the website indicated by the clue as if you're going to shop there. A Bird is guaranteed. (But not a prize).

For everybody's information, I am already 1 away on every prize, after about 2 hours total play (maybe 400 merchants visited). Not looking good for me for the rest of the week.
