Poor Value for Money
For older pets, this is poor value for money. Accounting for the high monthly premium, excess fees and a mandatory 20% contribution to vet bills, I would need to pay around £500 a year to get a potential benefit of £1000 (max). Personally, I feel it's much better to save that £500. If I didn't need to claim in the year, I'm £500 better off/ have built up £500 for the next year.

Bought insurance for my dog, tracked and paid shortly afterwards
Decided that I would purchase this pet insurance last year and with cash back it worked out at a very reasonable cost. Unfortunately I have had to make a claim and email confirmation from Animal Friends saying the claim from my vet was accepted and will be paid shortly. Can’t fault them.

Awful. Waited 9 months on a fail to track claim then advised it was being declined anyway because of some dark arts interference. Avoid. No friends of mine.

Cashback paid out, but don't expect them to honour insurance payouts,we've got two vets telling us they are not being fair. (Out of hours get from one company and normal vet) layout refused even though vets wrote to them.and said they should.AVOID!
